Bárbara siempre necesita cositas nuevas y yo necesito mejorar mis costuras así que acá vamos con un nuevo conjunto de chaqueta y pantalón para Barbie, debo decir que pensé que iba a estar peor jajaja, pero salió bastante bien así que vamos al proceso de como hice esto.
Barbara always needs new things and I need to improve my sewing so here we go with a new jacket and pants set for Barbie, I must say I thought it was going to be worse hahaha, but it turned out pretty well so let's go to the process of how I made this.
Con tela camuflada y a cuadros corte las piezas, no sé qué es esta tela, pero es de algodón y tejida en sarga, lo mejor es que al plegarla se queda marcada, pero si se extiende vuelve a su forma, es genial, esto ayuda muchísimo, corte el pantalón, la chaqueta que es en partes y las mangas, a la chaqueta le añadí dos cuadrados que serán bolsillos jajaja.
Using camouflage and checkered fabric, I cut the pieces. I don't know what this fabric is, but it's cotton and woven in twill. The best thing is that when you fold it, it stays marked, but if you stretch it, it returns to its shape. It's great; this helps a lot. I cut the pants, the jacket, which is in parts, and the sleeves. To the jacket, I added two squares that will be pockets, haha.

Empecé con el pantalón, cosí los tiros, y los ruedos, que la tela se quede al doblarla ayudo muchísimo para hacer los ruedos, es un vuelta y vuelta de medio cm es lo más pequeño que hice hasta ahora, y quedo bien.
Para el ajuste de cintura cosí un velcro por detrás, es justo el talle, debo mejorar esto ya que al ponerlo hay que hacer un poco de fuerza, es lo malo de las Barbies, su proporción cadera cintura es muy diferente, es irreal jajaja, ajustar pantalones es algo que aún me lleva tiempo.
I started with the pants, I sewed the crotch and the hems. The fact that the fabric stays when folded helps a lot when making the hems. It's a half-centimeter fold and fold, it's the smallest I've done so far, and it turned out well. To adjust the waist, I sewed a velcro strap on the back, it's just the right size. I need to improve this because when you put it on you have to use a bit of force. That's the bad thing about Barbies, their hip-waist ratio is very different, it's unrealistic, hahaha. Adjusting pants is something that still takes time.

La chaqueta está muy elaborada a comparación de lo que hago siempre, cosí los dobleces del frente, también en vuelta y vuelta y con zigzag en hilo blanco, en la tela quedan muy bien, acompañan.
Después uní por hombros el frente y la espalda y esas costuras las pisé con un zigzag más pequeño sosteniendo la costura sobre la espalda.
The jacket is very elaborate compared to what I usually do. I sewed the folds on the front, also back and forth and with a zigzag in white thread. They look great on the fabric and complement each other. Then I joined the front and back by the shoulders and I sewed those seams with a smaller zigzag to hold the seam on the back.
A las mangas les hice los ruedos y las cosí al frente, también haciendo una sobre costura para pisar, la tela es hermosa, pero deshilacha con gran facilidad, como si se tratara de una tela plana de paño, como de sacos de lana, se comporta exactamente así, pisar las costuras es por un lado decorativo, pero por el otro total necesario ya que al manipularlo temía que se descosiera.
I hemmed the sleeves and sewed them to the front, also making a seam to step on. The fabric is beautiful, but it frays very easily, as if it were a flat cloth, like a wool sack, it behaves exactly like that. Stepping on the seams is decorative on the one hand, but totally necessary on the other hand because when handling it I was afraid it would come undone.
Los bolsillos los armé aparte, cosiendo los laterales con un doble y luego la boca, creí que esto sería un desastre jajaja pero la tela ayudo mucho, ambos quedaron bien, pero con paciencia, puntada chica y a velocidad baja.
Luego de coserlos a ambos los acomode en la chaqueta y cosí bien al borde, una puntada volcada recta, con un pespunte fino, casi que no se note, el espacio para coserlo era bastante justo, además me quedaba cerrar los laterales así que no había margen de error para esto.
I made the pockets separately, sewing the sides with a double seam and then the opening. I thought this would be a disaster, haha, but the fabric helped a lot. Both turned out well, but with patience, small stitches and at a slow speed. After sewing them both, I placed them on the jacket and sewed them well along the edge, a straight overturned stitch, with a fine stitch, almost unnoticeable. The space to sew it was quite tight, and I also had to close the sides so there was no margin for error for this.
Para finalizar use rib para el cuello y también para el bajo de la chaqueta y así el conjunto quedo listo, me gustó mucho hacerlo y me siento un poco más segura con lo que hago, tengo ganas de volver a hacer algunos vestidos también con otros recursos para que se vean bien diferentes a lo que vengo haciendo.
To finish, I used rib for the collar and also for the bottom of the jacket and that's how the outfit was done. I really enjoyed doing it and I feel a little more confident with what I do. I want to make some dresses again with other resources so that they look very different from what I've been doing.
Hay cosas que mejorar en los moldes de chaqueta, las mangas me vienen costando demasiado, creo que deberé volver a hacer copas de manga como en el saco, pero dentro de todo se ve bien, este conjunto fue un buen aprendizaje, aunque si tomo mucho tiempo valió la demora 😊.
There are things to improve in the jacket patterns, the sleeves have been costing me too much, I think I should go back to making sleeve cups like on the jacket, but overall it looks good, this set was a good learning experience, although if it took a long time it was worth the delay 😊.
