When it comes to creating one you need a sanctuary, a place where you have all the resources to make your composition or performance. Surely it happens to them, that you are recording the barking of a dog, the crowing of a rooster, the ringing of the telephone, the passage of a vehicle, or perhaps the conversation of the people who visit your house, and even the loud music neighbor volume. Sometimes I record a song up to 10 times, either because I'm wrong, or because of external influences. You have to be patient and look for alternatives to reduce distractions in the creative process. The preparation of the environment is important, I always make sure to have a water filter, and charge the battery of the camera, and the horns. We must make sure that we can control the aspects that are within our reach. We may get frustrated by things we can't control, like the power going out, or the house flooding. But such is real life. You have to breathe and move on.
Today I bring you a song that I started practicing several days ago, it's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" by British singer and songwriter Elton John, who composed the music and wrote by Tim Rice. The song is of the soft rock genre and is part of the Disney movie The Lion King. Other songs on that album that I love is Circle of Life and Hakuna Matata. I grew up watching those movies and listening to that music in the 90s. I play it with a plastic mute, which I use frequently to study and thus reduce the sound. It has its pros and cons, but I want to point out that this device creates more resistance to the air column and I have to exert more effort and even take in more air. The positive is that it helps you exercise. If you like it, you can tell me in the comments section any anecdote that you have had to rehearse, and record.
Can You Feel the Love Tonight
There's a calm surrender
To the rush of day
When the heat of a rolling wind
Can be turned away
An enchanted moment
And it sees me through
It's enough for this restless warrior
Just to be with you
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it's laid to rest?
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
There's a time for everyone
If they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope
Moves us all in turn
There's a rhyme and reason
To the wild outdoors
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager
Beats in time with yours
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it's laid to rest?
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
