No matter how well you do something, it can always be better. Dissatisfaction with something if it is within realistic limits can be motivating, especially when it comes to art. What is certain is that you have to practice a lot. I draw for 10 hours a day, but when you work with passion, you don't feel when time flies. Lately, I have been following the work of many artists and trying to improve myself by watching and trying to practice colors, shadows, the law of light in nature and so on. . .
Yesterday I was delighted how the author painted a watercolor street with traffic. I couldn't resist trying to paint it even though I had never tried it before. Here's what that creation process looked like.
Prvo sam nacrtala skicu:
As you can see, I prepared paints, brushes, watercolor paper, played jazz music and started. First I drew a sketch:
Then I carefully watched how the first color was applied. Believe me, I didn't even know it started like that. It's a great feeling when you learn something new.
Najviše dominira oker i žuta boja jer treba prikazati deo dana u zalasku sunca.
Ocher and yellow color dominates the most because part of the day at sunset should be shown. In the beginning, I was delighted. otherwise, you can watch something being done as much as you want, but without potential and talent, it's not worth it. You won't be able to draw especially since watercolor is the most difficult technique. Everything must be done quickly.
Now we can already see what the final look will look like. It involves hours of drawing and painting, which is not very convenient if you are on a diet, you sit a lot. 😆
Najviše volim da slikam noću. Polako, bez žurbe uz mirise čaja i kafe. 🥰
Završena!
I like to paint at night the most. Slowly, without haste with the aromas of tea and coffee. Jazz gives you the perfect rhythm. Part by part and the picture is finished. My back was a little stiff, but looking at the picture and feeling satisfied cured everything.
Finished!
I'm thinking, how many years have I been afraid to do watercolor and then something really "breaks" in you and you say, "Hey, at least I should try it" and then you see that you are no longer interested in any other technique. You throw away the past and start from the beginning with new passion and freshness...
It is like that in all segments of life. The first step if you want to succeed in something is to dare.
