Hello hiver friends, dear readers, after a while we haven't seen each other, this time I'm back in this community, sharing some architectural and design photos, I hope that friends and readers like it.
This is a museum of traditional Acehnese houses, incidentally located in the center of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia.
This famous traditional Acehnese house, it can be said that the entire building is made of wood, and it is said that this house was designed as an earthquake-resistant house, which consists of many sturdy pillars and does not use nails.
Not only that, the roof is made of pure Nipah leaves that are tied without using nails, this is very spectacular. You can imagine how cold and cool it is in this house.
This very simple house building is also only painted in such a way using varnish as it is, so as not to change its own classic art.
Aceh is known to be an earthquake-prone area, maybe this is what gave rise to the initiative for the ancients to make houses in such a way, when there was an earthquake the house only swayed but did not collapse or collapse.
These sturdy house poles are generally made from Mane tree trunks, because apart from being sturdy and strong, this wood also lasts a long time, far from being fragile.
And the number of struts or so-called legers that are neatly arranged, we can see when we are under the house.
Next, we go back to discussing the museum, here there is a rice barn or in Acehnese it is called "Krueng padee" a place to store rice harvests and this is one of the characteristics of Acehnese houses, as you can see, this is indeed very beautifully made.
Krueng padee is made of woven bamboo and is made to accommodate up to 3.5 tons of rice inside, and the inside is lined with a mat made of woven pandan leaves.
Furthermore, the traditional Acehnese house has another characteristic, namely having a place to pound rice or flour called "Jeungki" which is also made of wood, there is also a place to sit and relax.
And here there is "Bedug" but not all Acehnese houses have this. And here there are 2 cannons.
However, in this museum there is something lacking, usually Acehnese traditional houses have a jug or water container, for a place to wash their feet before going up to the house.
Access to go up to this house is through several stairs, and the door looks shorter, this tells the full meaning of politeness in it, when entering the house we have to bow a little.
However, it is unfortunate that this museum is not open to the public, the door of the house is locked, so we cannot explore the inside of the house.
However, the beauty that is displayed from outside the house is very pleasing to the eye, the classical concept that is displayed is very entertaining, plus there is a building like a hut that is deliberately built for a place to relax, occasionally a gentle breeze blows here.
This place is also often visited by visitors, usually on holidays, some come from within and outside the area.
This museum has a fairly large yard and has an area to play for children and relax for parents.
Thus a short story about Aceh's traditional house in a museum, an explanation of Aceh's traditional house can also be visited at article
Hope everyone can be entertained, thank you.
