While I was choosing an image for my post, I noticed that the authorship of this expression is attributed to different people. But in fact, the rule that sounds in it is so logical and obvious that its authorship rather belongs to life itself.
I must confess that as a person who has an amazing ability to get into stupid situations, I really love this rule and practice it constantly. Probably otherwise I would not be writing all this now ... It really helps me not only to regain control over the situation but also to maintain peace of mind.
So, stop digging!
No money - set aside all expenses that cause you doubts!
The house is a mess - stop littering and scattering things!
The car is about to fall apart - put it in the garage now!
There are eighteen dogs in the house - don't you dare take the nineteenth! Although I can't guarantee anything...:)))
Step two - make a list of problems. I'll be honest, it's rare for anyone to do this. But it works! While all the problems are in your head, they seem to be a single ball of tangled threads that cannot be unraveled. This is depressing! As soon as you write everything on a piece of paper, you, firstly, systematize everything, and, secondly, you can sort of move away from them. This is important because it is known that it is more difficult to find a way out of the situation, being inside it.
Step Three - Review Your Resources! Often the situation is not as bad as we think. Don't forget to include people who can give good advice or help in other ways, including your own skills and abilities. Resources are not only money and property. Sometimes good advice is much more valuable.
Now that you have a picture of the situation in front of you, determine what resources you need to solve what problems. And, of course, set deadlines.
And then ... then just consistently do what is necessary. The main thing - do not keep digging!
This plan seems simple and obvious. So much so that it seems primitive to follow it. But in fact, it is often these simple things that work.
P.S. While I was writing this post, our friend @richq11 sent me an email (by the way, he also lost access to his account). He asked how we are, because the news is just awful. I don't know about us.... We live in anticipation of war.... How are we? We live with a war that has been going on since 2014... We have territorial defense exercises... Our children were shown where the bomb shelter is... I don't know how are we... I only hope that all this will remain simple nervous period of our lives. I love you all.
