🇪🇸 ~ ¡Hola a todos! 💕 Julio para mi ha comenzado con muy buen pie, y entre las muchas buenas noticias que tengo es que me siento mucho mejor de salud; aún debo guardar reposo y no sobre-esforzarme, pero esta mejoría me ha permitido retomar una relativa normalidad en cuanto a proyectos y pasatiempos, especialmente los que tienen que ver con sentarme en la mesa de costura (cuyo horario debe ser restringido a partir de ahora si no quiero perder lo que he avanzado) 👁 🪡 🌟

🇺🇸 ~ Hello everyone! 💕 July for me has started on a very good foot, and among the many good news I have is that I feel much better in health; I still have to keep resting and not over-stress myself, but this improvement has allowed me to resume a relative normality in terms to projects and hobbies, especially those that have to do with sitting at the sewing table (whose hours must be restricted from now on if I don't want to lose what I've progressed) 👁 👁 🪡 🌟

Si me sigues hace algún tiempo, ya habrás leído que no acepto comisiones especificas o es muy extraño que lo haga. Trabajar para otras personas es un tema difícil para mi por una larga lista de razones que poco o nada han cambiado en el tiempo, pero éste es uno de esos raros proyectos que son la excepción: ¿Las razones?, bueno, la persona que me consulto agenda es realmente agradable y simplemente el tipo de cliente con el que da gusto trabajar, y segundo lugar, estaba emocionada por volver a sentarme a coser y quería hacer algo lindo, que no fuera demasiado facil, pero tampoco demasiado dificil.

If you've been following me for some time, you may have already read that I don't accept specific commissions or it's very rare that I do. Working for other people is a difficult subject for me for a long list of reasons that have changed little or nothing over time, but this is one of those rare projects that are the exception: The reasons?, well, the person who consulted me agenda is really nice and just the kind of client that is a joy to work with, and secondly, I was excited to sit down to sew again and wanted to do something nice, that wasn't too easy, but not too difficult either.

Éste proyecto coincide con los dias en que mejoré significativamente del dolor de espalda, ya empezaba a caminar con mejor postura 😂 👍 Y todo se desarrollo de manera muy fluida. La mamá de una bebé que cumpliría 1 año quería un vestido temático de "Masha y el Oso", y me compartió algunas referencias. Yo el explique que no me gusta copiar el trabajo de otros artistas textiles, así que le propuse hacer un diseño que combinara aquellos elementos que le gustaban, y felizmente ella estuvo de acuerdo. Éste es el recorrido fotográfico de esa tarde de costura:

This project coincides with the days when I significantly improved my back pain, I started to walk with better posture 😂 👍 And everything went very smoothly. The mom of a baby who would be turning 1 wanted a "Masha and the Bear" themed dress, and shared some references with me. I explained that I don't like to copy the work of other textile artists, so I proposed to make a design that combined those elements she liked, and happily she agreed. Antes de que me regañes en los comentarios, porque es obvio que esto no se terminó de coser en 2 horas 👉👈 tomé descansos cada 60 minutos y varias piezas las cosí a mano recostada en mi cama con un mueble especial para apoyar la espalda y el cuello -es muy bueno si quieres pasar horas leyendo o bordando y no levantarte "tiezo" del dolor jajaja- 🤭 ✅

Before you scold me in the comments, because it's obvious that this was not finished in 2 hours 👉👈 I took breaks every 60 minutes and several pieces I hand stitched lying on my bed with a special piece of furniture to support my back and neck -it's very good if you want to spend hours reading or embroidering and not get up "stiff" from the pain hahaha- 🤭 ✅

Por si te interesan algunos datos técnicos: Para elaborar este vestido con su pañoleta y el lazo de la espalda, utilicé 2 metros de tela dacrón color fucsia, y 1 de tela dacrón blanco; la pasamanería dorada fueron 2 metros y medio, y el tul del fondo fueron 2 metros cortados 3 veces para formar una franja larga.

In case you are interested in some technical data: To make this dress with its bow tie and back bow, I used 2 meters of fuchsia dacron fabric, and 1 meter of white dacron fabric; the gold trimmings were 2 and a half meters, and the bottom tulle was 2 meters cut 3 times to form a long strip.
