Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
This week it was especially hot in our country: more than +40 degrees Celsius. In this heat you don’t feel very energetic, but you have energy for small craft projects. That's why I started doing this.
One of my friends gave me some of her clothes that she no longer wears. It was a dress and a skirt. I haven't finished the skirt yet. I liked the dress because it was natural fabric - cotton. I forgot to take a photo of what it looked like.
I also really liked the print on the fabric - it was in keeping with summer time and I love it that way. So I just cut off the top of the dress and threw it away, and converted the bottom part into a skirt.
It was very easy since I only had to make a fold of fabric at the waistband of the skirt and insert an elastic band inside. It turned out very nice!
This dress has been given a second life! I have several of these skirts and I wear them with great pleasure!
Then I want to show you my old sundress that I now only wear at home. I wanted to make it a little more convenient.
The elastic at the top stretched and no longer held the fabric. So I decided to cut some fabric from the hem of the sundress and sew straps from it.
I didn't want thin straps; Wider ones are more comfortable for me. In the end I got it!
The fact is that I bought this sundress almost 15 years ago. But look at the fabric print! This hasn't changed at all despite constant washing. And the fabric itself is very, very soft.
And my third little project is a blouse. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a “before” photo again.
This blouse is made of fine cotton. I really love this. But unfortunately, the previous shape of the sleeves became uncomfortable for me. These were puff sleeves, tapered at the bottom. I've gained a little weight now and the sleeves became narrow and tightened my arm. So I decided to cut off the tapered part from the sleeves.
Well done to me because I wasn’t too lazy to first sew the hem of the sleeves by hand with a needle and thread. Therefore, it was not difficult for me to sew it on a sewing machine later.
In addition, I changed the button: the previous ones were just dark brown. I picked up other buttons and tried to match the color of the thread on the sewing machine so that it would harmonize together.
So, I have completed these three projects and am very happy. Now these clothes have become much more comfortable and beautiful. My summer will be much more fun now

Take care of yourself and be healthy!!!
