December was a very busy month and I'm already getting back to work.
I want to share with you a cute kitty keychain that I made with leftover materials, for me it is very important to use the materials to the maximum and not to throw away scraps. When I make some small works I usually sell them at a very low cost or give them away with purchases from my business, customers appreciate the details.
Hola creativos y creativas... estuve un poco ausente de la comunidad debido a las ¨vacaciones¨, aunque cuando se es emprendedor en vacaciones es cuando más se trabaja.
Diciembre fue un mes muy movido y estoy ya activándome a mis labores.
Quiero compartir con ustedes un lindo llaverito de gatico que hice con sobras de materiales, para mi es muy importante utilizar al máximo los materiales y no botar retazos. Cuando realizo algunos trabajos pequeños suelo venderlos en muy bajo costo u obsequiarlo con compras de mi emprendimiento, los clientes agradecen los detalles.
We will use:
- Felt
- Embroidery threads
- Liquid silicone
- Fabric ribbon 1cm wide
- Ring for key ring.
Vamos a usar:
- Fieltro
- Hilos de bordar
- Silicón líquido
- Cinta de tela 1cm de ancho
- Aro para llavero.
I made a cat face mold out of cardboard, and marked it on the magenta felt. I took out two at a time to make the front and back.
Hice un molde de carita de gato en un cartoncito, y lo marqué en el fieltro magenta. Saco dos de una vez para hacer la parte delantera y posterior.

With two strands of pink embroidery thread, I am going to make some little knots to make a little detail near the whiskers.
They are called French knots and are made by wrapping the thread around the tip of the needle and passing it to the other side. I made two on each side.

Luego por la naricita haremos puntaditas pequeñas para darle mejor detalle y acabado.

Unimos las dos tapitas en forma de cara de gato, y voy a coser el borde con hilo de bordar naranja, en esta ocasión usaré 5 hebras de hilo.
I leave a space without sewing and I'm going to put stuffing inside, so that it is quilted and very soft.
With the ribbon we will make a tab and we will put it in the center where we put the stuffing, we will sew joining the felt and the ribbon to give security to the work.
Dejo un espacio sin coser y le voy a colocar relleno dentro, para que quede acolchado y muy tierno.
Con la cinta haremos una pestaña y la meteremos en el centro por donde metimos el relleno, coseremos uniendo el fieltro y la cinta para darle seguridad al trabajo.
I finish closing the kitty and tie a simple knot.
I add to the ribbon the ring for the keychain and we have a handmade keychain, cute and perfect for a gift or for your purse.
Termino de cerrar el gatico y hago un nudo simple.
Agrego a la cinta el aro para el llavero y tenemos un llavero hecho a mano, lindo y perfecto para un regalo o para tu bolso.
