Hello, my hive friends!
My warmest greetings to one and all especially to this amazing community. It's me again simplechalyns. How are you by the way? Hope all are fine and doing great.
Anyways, I'm inspired today to share with you my amazing weekend experience because it is summer and I made something extra special under the heat of the sun.
I posted in my previous blog about how to make a dried fish but when we had our meal with that dried fish, I observed my children only eat on the side with no bones and they left the other side of it, and that made me decide to make a dried boneless fish.
Dried fish could be an appetizer in our meal paired with vegetable soup, super yummy indeed!
I bought a half kilo of fresh danggit fish in a small to medium size. Danggit is locally known in our place and the English term for this is Rabbitfish. I live near the seashore within just walking distance and Danggit is usually the fish caught by the fisherman in our place.
The dried boneless danggit in the market will cost approximately 950 per kilo depending on its size.
THE PREPARATION
Washed first the fish thoroughly and then prepare the chopping board and your knife. Be sure to have a sharp knife to slice the fish easily.
Slice the left side of the fish and split it like a butterfly fillet and turn to the other side. Be careful when you are going to remove the bones because it might hurt you.
I was in a struggle when I removed the fish bones because anytime you'll be hit by some sharp bones. It needs your direct attention to the fish, so it's sharp bones and on the sharp knife.
When the bones of the danggit fish are already removed, you can now remove its guts and gills and after washing it thoroughly until all are cleaned.
This is now our boneless danggit. It's a nice feeling actually when all are done. Yehey!!
LET'S MARINATE!!!
The Ingredients
4 to 5 tbsp. of coconut vinegar
1 to 2 tbsp of salt
1 to 2 lemon
5 cloves of garlic
Get a container and mixed the ingredients. Let the salt dissolve and after let the fish soak in the mixed ingredients. Set aside and let it marinate for one to two hours to absorb its ingredients.
Prepare the screen tray as a base. Be sure that it is cleaned. Pile the boneless fish.
Place the piled fish in an area where it can absorb directly the heat of the sun.
In our case we put it above the roof, aside from it is directly absorbed the heat of the sun it is far from the animals as well.
We let it expose to the sun and we will get it back when the sun sets already.
After exposing it to the heat of the sun, this is now our dried boneless danggit.
I will fry this for our dinner and I am pretty sure my kids will enjoy all parts of the fish, and they won't leave any part of it.
Taraa let's eat and enjoy our dried boneless fish!!!
It was tasty and crispy! The ingredients were well blended and absorbed by the boneless fish.
That's all for now my friends. Hope this blog is useful to you and may inspired you as well. Have a great day and God bless everyone.
