It’s my first time cooking bolognese pasta. I diligently watch some videos of ‘’How to make bolognese sauce’’ and come up with my own version. The rich sauce tasted wonderful, rich and full of flavor. I am using minced beef for the meat and If you have a generous time, cook slow and low for a couple of hours for the best flavor. The leftover sauce can freeze well for future use or to use other dishes such as lasagne bolognese.
Ingredients
Pasta, Tagliatelle
Beef, minced
Onion, diced
Garlic, minced
Carrots, diced
Water, 1 - 1 ½ cup
Beef cube, ½
Pasta sauce
Tomato paste
Fresh milk, 1 cup
Salt
Black pepper
In a preheated pan, Add enough olive oil and Saute onion and garlic.
Add the diced carrots and mix, cook for 5 minutes.
Throw in the minced beef, Mix well to combine and cook until brown. You may add salt and ground black pepper for initial flavoring.
Next, add 1 - 1 ½ cup of water and the beef cube, let it boil in medium low flame.
Then add the tomato sauce and let it reboil.
Cook pasta according to instructions.
Add the tomato paste , mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the fresh milk and reduce heat, cook for 10 minutes. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
Mix the drain pasta into the sauce, Combine well and serve warm.
Upgrade it with fresh basil on top and grated parmesan for a homemade delicious pasta.
The milk adds creaminess into the dish, it’s flavorful and worth a try. Surely I will make it again this weekend.
