Delicious Chicken Breast with a twist

in #hive-1205863 years ago

I suppose to make a Hainanese chicken and to be doing so requires poaching the chicken in a medium low heat and gently simmer until done. But since I am in the mood for experimenting I change the recipe and opt for something easier and the result is still flavorful and the chicken meat are moist.

Ingredients

Chicken breast
Onion
Ginger celery
Pandan leaves
Salt
Sesame oil
Oyster sauce
Ground black pepper
Thyme, for garnishing

Preparations

Place the chicken in a pot and add enough water with all the herbs above. Reduce the heat once it boiled. Let it cool down.

Marinate with sesame oil and oyster sauce for 30 minutes or so.

Garnish with thyme and serve with rice or mashed potato.

You can skip the process of poaching the chicken and instead fry the marinated chicken directly.

The leftover liquid can be served as a soup, just add a little seasoning or can be kept for later use.

I hope you like this simple recipe.

I am glad to receive feedback from you and will be happy to respond as soon as i can.

Thank you and see you soon.
