A turtle neck dress made with red satin

in #hive-127911 โ€ข last year

Hello everyone, I can believe it's another week again. I really don't know why I love Mondays ๐Ÿค” even though it ensue to be the most hectic day of the week. But why? Please tell me in the comment section what you think about that.

We all have that one thing that drives us to always keep pushing no matter what the situation seems to look like at the moment, this drive could be your job, lifestyle, family, religion etc. whatever this drive is, it is a ray of hope telling you not to give up just yet!

I made a red satin A shape, knee length, turtle neck dress for a client, choosing the style wasnโ€™t such a difficult task, because she described the style she wanted and with her description I sent her 3 pictures that had what she wanted and she finally choose one of them.

Like earlier stated I used a type of satin fabric locally called โ€œshiny faceโ€ because it has a shiny look and as such when light comes on it it bounces off the reflection unlike another satin type called โ€œdull faceโ€ locally because it absolves light which makes it not to shine.

I choose this shiny fabric because i wanted the shiny effect on my client ๐Ÿฅฐ Below are pictures of the fabric and how I made the dress

The picture below shows the half length of the back and front fabric and underlining. I cut the fabric using the princess dart pattern which is another type of dart.

The picture above shows what the half length looks like when the underlining and princess dart has been joined to the fabric.

In the bigger box, contains the back piece and the space in-between is were the zip will be. The smaller box contains the front piece.

Below is the front and back piece. While the other picture is me fixing the zip.

Done with sewing the dress, putting some embellishments on the dress.

This dress can be worn with a black heel(my preference though)keep the makeup light with nude colour choices, because the dress colour is already loud and shiny, you donโ€™t want some colour riot going on with you.

Please feel free to let me know what to improve on, Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful week

Thanks so much sweetheart, your commendation made my day ๐Ÿ˜Š

it looks weird people hearing I love Mondays.

There's an accurate fact about those that like Mondays. It's said if someone always love Monday, it means that he or she has a lover in the workplace
