I started the sketch shaping the face by adding shadows or depth and light and adding texture by using the same pencil adding more and less pressure in the areas that needed it.
Paint the main part, in this case the face. Since it is the one that carries more detail and shadows. Therefore. With skin color I filled the whole area of the portrait and began to give shadows with brown tonality in the depths and furrows of the skin.
Then I continued with the suit and tie which stands out very well for its royal blue tone, giving corresponding shades as well as in the hair to which I added that gray look.
To continue, I added more shadows on the skin, guided not only by the reference photograph but also by other images that helped me to understand the approximate location of the deepest parts of the face. That is, the nasolabial folds, temple and neck.
To finish I gave softness to the drawing by adding points of light, a little detail to the suit and blushing the skin a little to give life to the drawing.
