It's been a bit since our last upload, mainly because we've been working on gathering materials for our coming build. This is a process that takes time and has many tricky moments when working with old fashioned tools. We haven't explained much why we prefer these tools but a quick resume would be:
- No need to be constantly wasting on fuel (we might come to use power tools if we ever have enough offgrid energy)
- Smaller ecological impact
- Good excercise
- Slower progress allows us to observe the Nature around us a lot more and allow it to regenerate while we work.
- Less noise for the birds and other animals that coexist with us.
- Cheaper mantainance.
Despite the process being slow, it's a very enjoyable work surrounded by a beautiful scenery. We wanted to share with you what a normal work day looks for us while gathering as much material as we can before we begin building our cob house.
