😄Hello HIVERS, I bring you a nice experience in making and restoring a wooden stool and upholstering it with very cheap materials; these stools were made 4 years ago when I started to see carpentry classes, however due to wear and tear and use they were left lying in a warehouse damaged by moisture and dirt ☹️, but this time, they managed to recover and today I bring you my experience repairing them. 😅
We started with these two stools, which had synthetic fabric, these were in terrible condition, I proceeded to remove it and then clean the stools with a cloth and water.
sand the surface to open the pores and remove the splinters.
hammer the nails in the center of the board with the nion of the bases and glue.
linseed or cooking oil: we spread the oil on the wood to hydrate it and give strength to the fibers.
FOAM RUBBER
Cut a piece of foam rubber to the calculated diameter of the seat, leaving 3 cm long to cover the edges of the seat, leaving all the ends even.
semi-leather
We cut the diameter of the semi-leather and line the board leaving 3 cm of distance from the edges so that when stapled it is completely firm and stretched.
