My Post (3).png

Hello all, it's @justinparke here! Welcome to the same ole' Plant Based Challenge, but in our new community! Not much has changed at all, except if you'd like to earn LOTUS for your posts, you'll now need to use the tag #lotus instead of #naturalmedicine.

First of all, a few changes - the challenge post and the wrap up will be in the ONE post this time. We also have a nice few delegations coming in, so our upvote is starting to grow. If you'd like to support #vegan #plantbased content in this community, us plant powered folk would all appreciate it!

Plant-Based Cooking Challenge

🥦🌽🍉 WEEK #33 🍈🍅🥜

WOW is all I can say this week, there were far more delicious entries than I could ever highlight. I am running a little late, because this challenge is normally published on Wednesday, but life has been hectic here in Suriname, and we are gearing up for a return to Cambodia, so it's been hard juggling Hive responsibilities and life responsibilities. I might have to take break from this challenge until 2022, but either way it will carry on if I need a substitute host until things settle down again.

Cauliflower Nuggets With Lemongrass sauce

by: @umirais

This post had it all, a delicious recipe, awesome photography, detailed instructions, and very attractive presentation. Oh, I forgot to mention the dipping sauce, which actually almost stole the show. Luckily the fried cauliflower nuggets and the sauce are on the same team, and that's why this dish is this week's winner. Absolutely mouthwatering!

Congratulations @umirais! You are the winner of 6 HIVE.

2nd & 3rd Prize Winners

Our 2nd place winner needs on introduction if you know your way around the #plantbased world on Hive. Her presentation and photography rival her chefery, and I am never sure whether I want to devour her dishes or frame them and try to figure out a way to mount them on the wall. Her peanut salad is far more than that, just look at the plate and you can see how much is going on with this dish.

Legendary Indonesian chef @aswita took the 3rd prize this week, and I could almost smell the roasted peanuts as I read her recipe. If you like umami, this is the dish for you, because the peanuts and cassava crackers are just the savory bits of this dish, and there are so many more flavors and textures. What a lovely dish, I will be keeping my eyes open for Ketoprak on Indonesian restaurant menus.
