So much yes!
I had a wild time the other night with my boys out at the lake. We were trying to catch gar, and although we had a few bites, we only managed to catch one, but thankfully it was a big one. In fact, it was my biggest one ever, or at least so far!
I was able to pull four pounds of meat off of this fish to feed my family, and apparently that means that we can all eat our full and still have leftovers. We like to soak them in lemon juice and them bread them in Zatarain's fish fry before we deep fry them. This makes them taste similar to a chicken tender, or chicken nugget...
Since I slice them off of long, boneless strips of meat, they even come out in the same shapes sometimes, just like chicken nuggets, (which I think only come in four shapes.) Anyway, we like to DIY our food supply and try to steer clear of fast food, so this is definitely the way to go. Here's some photos of us enjoying lunch. Enjoy!
