Although it is not the first time that I have made an article referring to 3D printing, it is true that it has been several years since I have shown you new models. The truth is that I spent 2 years with the printer stored in Madrid while we were looking for a new house, this has taken us more than two years but I finally reassembled the BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos that I had, but it barely lasted 3 or 4 more prints and the extruder stopped picking up the filament. Of course it had and is fixed but on the recommendation of a friend I took a look at the new Ender 3. For little more than the cost of a complete extruder you have some interesting options. I quickly decided on a direct extrusion Ender 3 S1. It was on sale for 259 euros with a color screen, heated bed, filament detection, automatic leveling... compared to the almost 700 euros that I paid for the Prusa 8 years ago.

It is not even close to a high-end model but more than enough for my needs, let's see some examples of models printed with the S1
Although I am still getting used to the new machine, the results are very good, in addition to being faster and quieter.
I'm finally going to be able to resume one of the projects that I put on hold due to what I told you at the beginning of the post, the Rising Star keychains!!!

aunque no es la primera vez que hago un artÃculo referido a la impresión 3D si es cierto que hace varios años que no os enseño nuevos modelos. Lo cierto es que estuve 2 años con la impresora guardada en Madrid mientras buscábamos una nueva casa, esto nos ha llevado mas de dos años pero por fin volvà a montar la BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos que tenÃa, pero apenas aguantó 3 o 4 impresiones más y el extrusor dejó de coger el filamento. Por supuesto tenÃa y tiene arreglo pero por recomendación de un amigo eché un vistazo a las nuevas Ender 3. Por poco más de lo que vale un extrusor completo tienes algunas opciones interesantes. Me decidà rapidamente por una Ender 3 S1 de extrusión directa. Estaba en oferta por 259 eur con pantalla en color, cama caliente, detección de filamento, nivelación automática... frente a los casi 700 eur que pagué por la Prusa hace ahora 8 años.

No es ni de lejos un modelo de gama alta pero más que suficiente para mis necesidades, vamos a ver algunos ejemplos de modelos impresos con la S1
Aunque aún estoy haciéndome a la nueva máquina los resultados son muy buenos, además de ser más rápida y silenciosa.
Por fin voy a poder retomar unos de los proyectos que dejé parado debido a lo que os conté al principio del post, los llaveros de Rising Star!!!
