It's time for the new round of this contest
NeedleWorĸ Yoυr BARBIE!
Dear NeedleWorkMonday friends, welcome once again to one of our community's favorite contests. After three fantastic editions, we are happy to announce our fourth round of the NeedleWork Your Barbie Contest 😃❤️! Long time members will already know how beautiful this contest is, but the audience has been renewed lately and we want everyone to have the opportunity to let their creativity run wild when it comes to making a beautiful project for the Barbie dolls in our lives 💞.
Our first two editions in 2020 and 2021 were free themed and with projects where you could see all the dedication and love put into them. Small items for Barbie filled this contest with ideas and kept our members entertained in their small projects. Last year 2023 our proposal was to transform our Barbies into a well-known profession, among which we had a little bit of everything, including hairdressers, gardeners, fashion professionals and even engineers. It was really a lot of fun 😀!
For this 2024 edition we thought that the Barbie contest would revolve around flowers and all their beauty and color. Anything that makes you think of flowers for your Barbie outfit will be great for this competition. Flowers can be included in fabric prints, as appliques, embroidery, or the whole outfit can be flower shaped. When it comes to creativity, we know there are no limits so it's time to get to work 🌻!
Show us your creative process with some pictures, but we also want more than just a tutorial. Tell us what's behind the project: motivations, ideas, difficulties, anecdotes etc. We look forward to reading you ❣️!
Contest Guidelines
1.- Create your project for your Barbie doll where flowers are the main theme. This includes small outfits like dresses, pants or shirts, but also extends to accessories like bags, backpacks or hats - any small flowered item is welcome!
2.- It's not exclusive to have a Barbie style doll to participate. It can also be any other type of doll that has a human form, even dolls with man figures or rag dolls (except baby dolls).
3.- All items you make for Barbie must include a needle. We will also accept any form of fiber arts that has to do with knotting, braiding, felting, tying or any form of fabric and thread manipulation. You can even combine different sewing techniques together.

2.- Include a translation into English if you write in another language.
3.- Mention the source if you publish patterns that are not your own.
