I made a senator outfit yesterday and am dedicating it on this community (A new bie gracing your screen).

Hello needleworkmonday,

A new bie gracing you screen this morning. Being new to a platform as crowded as this well...... it’s really tough especially trying to make a name for your self, being outstanding it’s really demanding and to heretic because it all starts by getting to know the place much better so you know go the dos and don’ts that governs this platforms, so i made it an obligation of mine to tour round the fore-walls of the @hive platform, I must admit it’s was really interesting and awesome to learn more about this platform, now acquiring those knowledge I think am fully ready to shoot my shot so that why I decided to dedicate my first post as a new bie in the @needlework community.

Well from the research I just did about the hole @hive platform, actually since am a new bie so I wanted to know more about where am flattering into so I used the past week to do a concrete research about this platform so from my research, there’re few things I could actually say about each and every community on this platform, if not all a good number of them have actually take my time to go deep into and one of them is the @needlework community, during my session I found out that mondays over here are rather called @needleworkmonday and posting on a monday here is something every content creator here is advised to do so that was why I decided that I’ll make my first ever post at this community on this day and am super excited about it, I can’t wait to be identify as a needlemover.

While my content is still cooking without hesitation let me start by asking how we’re all doing, I trust we’re all better and Guess our night went well too and we’re all set to begin the new week with much excitement just like I am to begin my journey fully on this platform. Lately I just find my self being happy always, life is too short and precious to spend it having issues so I didn’t have time to hate or pick a fight with someone am just different and I like my self that way and am not planning to change anything soon. Life is to short to waste on irrelevant stuffs, learn to be the author of your own happiness, it’s start from you.

Let me share this with you guys ### quickly, what I actually discovered and it has really help me going forward, acquiring sucess in life, two things are involved:

  • Being able to ignore peoples opinions about your life.
  • Building your confidence to achieve what you’ve set out to achieve.

This just how things works, one thing I love telling people is that yesterday that just past had now become an history while tomorrow is just a mystery/ puzzle no body can predict neither can they solve, then today is the present we’re seeing and it’s all about you along with what you WANT! so live your life doing what makes you happy😊. Learn to creat your own happiness and walk into it also learn to creat your own source of happiness before others comes in.

A female friend of mine who works in my office, who was served heartbreak in a plater of gold 😂 it’s not actually funny she literally went into depression, those were my words to her, thank God that after we talked and talk she was a little bit happier than when we started the conversation well...... that’s a story for my next post I’ll be sharing how everything happens according to what she told me.

Back to the business of today Well......
I want to share with you today it’s actually a senator wear I made for a client at my work place, so hope you’ll find my content worthy of an upvote 🙏🙏.

Equipment I used:

  1. Sky blue material
  2. Light gum
  3. Hemming gum
  4. Sky blue thread.

All those Equipment were at my disposal so I first grab the material and I lay it out and draft the measurement of the person on it and I proceeded towards cutting all the body parts out.

The cutting was done successfully, I took the remaining pieces of the material and I cut it, the size was 9 while the Length was 30 and there’s something we call pleating in the sewing profession and an half inches sewing of step after step, or you can still call it 0.5inches sewing, I did that and here was the result.

After the pleating, i took the remaining sky blue pieces and I folded it once and place the front of the main front of the cloth there and I cut of the facing of the front in form of a V sharp. That was done successfully too and I bend in the rough edges in to fork the V sharp effectively, I then place it at the top of the main front then I place that pleating under the V sharp of the facing and I sew it together to the main front of the cloth, I made another material below it so it could cover the edge of the pleating and also give it a much better look.

Next thing I did was to prepare the front flap, what’s called a flap, I know someone might be confused, the flap in this cloth is that straight thing put at the front to help cover the opening at the front the opening now the reason is that it will help the wearers head to pass into the cloth comfortable without any stress, so now that opening is there now, in other to make the cloth looks neat we tend to cover it that’s the essence of that long thing in front which is called the flap.

I added the flap and I made the side pocket too and I pasted it at the front.

The front was ready, I joined the back to the front, I input my both sleeve and joined the body of the cloth with same measurement I had, final thing I did was to pipe the neck and bend the length of the cloth, I did that and the outfit was just ready.......

I must attest anyone who wears my outfit, looks like royalty so that was why I decided to give my brand the name @kingsmaker, I move my needles to make men kings 😊.

At this point....... I want to say a big thank you to the @hive community as a hole and also to this amazing @needlework community who grant me the liberty to explore my creativity on there space.... I just say thank you and am so grateful for this opportunity given to the younger generations to actually contribute and be rewarded for it, I just honestly pray that my effort shall held fruit and my content will get an upvote............

So friends stay safe, stay out of trouble, till I grace your screen again I still remain your boy @kingsmaker.
