Today I share with you the renewal of one of my jeans. I used a pair of pants as a canvas that I really like because of its shape but I felt it lacked life and personality, so I dared to paint it by hand with fabric paint. I used happy and warm colors, I applied them with brushes and with my hands (something I really enjoy). Diluting the paint until it becomes a kind of ink would achieve a watercolor finish that is visually very striking, that's what this new post is about 😋💓🎨🖌️🌈
Here I show you a step by step with quite simple and recreational photos of the whole process. So no excuses, try it! Just let yourself be carried away by creativity 👌✌️🤓
STEP BY STEP
Step 1:
Prepare the work area and have all the materials to be used at hand.
Materials:
- Jeans
- Fabric paint your favorite colors
- Disposable cups with water
- Brushes
- Palette or plastic plate
Mix the desired colors for your Jeans in the plastic cups with water. With the brush take a little fabric paint and place it in the glass with water, stir until it dissolves well, add more paint until you achieve the desired shade. If you want to mix colors to have unique colors (as in my case), add a little paint of the secondary color or colors to the plastic cup until you achieve the desired color. You can use as many colors as you like; in my case I used 4 colors, I mixed them on the piece and thus obtained other colors. I recommend not placing more than 2 cm of water in each glass. Have a separate container with water in case you need to prepare more mixture and to clean the brushes; I recommend having a rag to dry and clean.
Step 2:
Carefully pour some paint of the desired color or colors directly from the plastic cup, apply it in one of the chosen places to add color. The idea is to generate colored spots that serve as a background to work on them, either accentuating the color, mixing it with another color or applying some more detail to the base color, as is the case of the white star that can be seen in the Photo. For the star(s), apply undiluted white paint with a brush, first outline the star and then fill in (it can be white or the color you prefer).
Step 3:
Continue applying more colors in the selected space, closely so that when they are absorbed by the fabric they mix a little with each other and generate more combinations. With a medium brush you can apply more color by dropping drops that create smaller spots, you can also splash with the brush soaked in the desired color and thus achieve moving spots.
Step 4:
Continue pouring the diluted colors to generate more stains in other places of the piece, the idea is to generate color maps that bring harmony, thus the desired watercolor effect can be appreciated. You can intensify the colors by adding more paint to the mixes. On the palette or plastic plate, place a little undiluted white paint and diluted paint, mix to give pastel shades of the desired colors and apply on the stain of the same color, this to generate luminosity in the colors applied to our pants.
Step 5:
To make small transitions between one color and another, you can take a little white with your fingers and apply it on the wet spots in circular shapes so that when mixed with the background colors they remain as cloudiness. Then take the undiluted white paint and with a fine brush give delicate details such as smaller stars, outline spirals, moons and white dots of different sizes that give light.
Step 6:
Spread the piece well and let it dry completely.

Hoy les comparto la renovación de uno de mis jeans. Usé de lienzo un pantalón que me gusta mucho por su forma pero sentía que le hacía falta vida y personalidad, entonces me atreví a pintarlo a mano con pintura de tela. Utilicé colores alegres y cálidos, los apliqué con pinceles y con las manos (cosa que disfruto mucho). Diluyendo la pintura hasta convertirla en una especie de tinta lograría un acabado de acuarela que visualmente es muy llamativo, de eso se trata este nuevo post 😋💓🎨🖌️🌈
Aquí les muestro un paso a paso con fotos bastante sencillo y recreativo de todo el proceso. Así que no hay excusas, ¡Inténtelo! Solo déjate llevar por la creatividad 👌✌️🤓
PASO A PASO
Paso 1:
Preparar el área de trabajo y tener a mano todos los materiales a utilizar.
Materiales:
- Jeans
- Pintura de tela de tus colores favoritos
- Vasos desechables con agua
- Pinceles
- Paleta o plato de plástico
Mezclar en los vasos con agua los colores deseados para sus Jeans. Con el pincel tome un poco de pintura de tela y colóquela en el vaso con agua, revuelva hasta que se disuelva bien, añada más pintura hasta lograr el tono deseado. Si desea mezclar colores para tener colores únicos (como en mi caso) vaya añadiendo al vaso un poco de pintura del color o colores secundarios hasta lograr el color deseado. Puede usar la cantidad de colores que desee; en mi caso utilicé 4 colores, los fui mezclando sobre la pieza y así obtuve otros colores. recomiendo no colocar más de 2 cm de agua en cada vaso. Tener a parte un envase con agua por si necesita preparar más mezcla y para limpiar los pinceles; recomiendo tener un trapo para secar y limpiar.
Paso 2:
Vertir cuidadosamente un poco de pintura del color o los colores deseados directamente del vaso, aplícalo en uno de los lugares escogidos para dar color. La idea es generar manchas de colores que sirvan de fondo para ir trabajando sobre ellas, ya sea acentuando el color, mezclando con otro color o aplicando algún detalle más sobre el color base, como es el caso de la estrella blanca que se aprecia en la foto. Para la o las estrellas aplicar pintura blanca sin diluir con un pincel, primero delinear la estrella y luego rellenar (puede ser blanco o el color que usted prefiera).
Paso 3:
Continuar aplicando más colores diluidos en el espacio seleccionado, con cercanía para que al ser absorbidos por la tela se mezclen un poco entre ellos y generen más combinaciones. Con un pincel medio puede aplicar más color dejando caer gotas que generen manchas más pequeñas, también puede salpicar con el pincel empapado en el color deseado y así lograr manchas con movimiento.
Paso 4:
Continuar vertiendo los colores diluidos para generar más manchas en otros lugares de la pieza, la idea es ir generando mapas de colores que lleven una armonía, así se aprecia el efecto de acuarela deseado. Puede intensificar los colores agregando más pintura a las mezclas. Sobre la paleta o plato de plástico coloque un poco de pintura blanca sin diluir y pintura de la diluida, mezcle para dar tonos pasteles de los colores deseados y aplique sobre la mancha del mismo color, ésto para generar luminosidad en los colores aplicados a nuestro pantalón.
Paso 5:
Para hacer pequeñas transiciones entre un color y otro puede tomar un poco de blanco con los dedos y aplicarlo sobre las manchas húmedas en formas circulares de manera que al mezclar con los colores del fondo queden como nubosidad. Luego tome la pintura blanca sin diluir y con un pincel fino dar detalles delicados como estrellas más pequeñas, delinear espirales, lunas y puntos blancos de diferentes tamaños que den luz.
Paso 6:
Extender bien la pieza y dejar secar completamente.
