This is my post for #freewriters Saturday prompt break down hosted by @mariannewest
Today we put the bushings in the bottom hinge of my truck door. It was a lot harder to take apart than the top one was and to add to the stress, the weather was getting ready to break down. It is late for us to get a cold front like this one. It has been in the 90s and tomorrow they are calling for it to be in the 40s.
We could not get the drill in between the door and frame to drill the pin out. My husband used his saws-all on it then it was jammed in there so tight that my husband threw a little fit and I told him to walk away and I finally got it to come out.
We got it all back together just as the rain was closing in on us, I put all of the tools away and my husband shut the door, or he tried to shut it. It would not close. I got the tools back out, by now the wind had picked up.
My husband took the two bolts out and put the jack back under the door then he put the bolts back in and it still would not close. He gets pissed when things like this happen. He took the bolts back out and jacked the door up a little higher and put the bolts back in. It is not perfect, but it does close. I think it is good enough.
I put the tools away once again and went into the house just as the sky opened up. It poured rain and as soon as it was over you could feel a 20-degree drop in the temperature. It is the middle of March, it is not supposed to be cold.
