Hello Hive
Today I made a different approach to my diy design series for bum shorts I decided to construct in order to have some simple wears to ease the hot temperature around here.
It might be easy to cut and sew but trying to figure out how to make this colorful and creative might be a little challenging.
Like for this wine I just concluded I couldn't have just sew a plain short without some additional finishing that I found so attractive after I completed this sewing.
Using a free hand method, I marked out my waist hip and full length measurement using a crotch depth of 9, but then I left some 4inchws allowances for the upper band measurement.
And this is what I got.
That was done and the next step was cutting and sewing
But then again I needed this more appealing and thought of simple addition of bias strips.
I have several colors online, but white looked a bit too bright for this
You won't believe that of the three closest color I have this baby pink fitting perfect into the wine color.
Here is the color selection process.
This was done, next I marked out the location I needed the bias to sit and sewed in three rows of bias strip.
That too was completed and the final steps was the photoshoot section where I searched out the best posture for a good capture of my short.
This is often the most hilarious part where i twist and turn but its a bit challenging when you have to take selfie of your sewing project.
Maybe a mirror will would do justice to this when I will just have to snap a reflection of myself.
Enjoy some nice shot and I do hope you have would cherish my joyful face 😂
What's your take, do you like my short.
