A trip to the Yaroslavl hills
Better skis can only be skis ― instead of preamble
It so happens that I live on the great plain. There are absolutely no mountains in our area. And it had to happen, I love skiing very much. This is my passion. Every year in winter I set aside one week for a trip to the mountains. But in the last two years, for well-known reasons, ski lovers have had quite serious problems with choosing a direction. The range of open winter resorts has narrowed significantly.
In order to quench my passion a little, I went to the neighboring region to the Yaroslavl hills. There, on the banks of the small river Shaksha, fans of mountain skiing installed a small drag lift. So a very small ski resort appeared on our great plain.
Of course, this short slope will not be able to fully satisfy the passion. A friend of mine said that skiing down the hills is like having sex with a rubber woman. The process is basically similar, but not quite complete. It's hard to argue with this statement. Pointed right...
Instead of the hills, he suggested that I go for a walk in the forest. The idea is not bad, and very healthy. However, my youngest son very seriously asked when we would finally go skiing from the Shakshi hills. To refuse a child is not in my principles. Therefore, we preferred the forest to the hills :)
From us to the shores of Shaksha, the path is not close, about an hour and a half by car. About a couple of hours to ride and it's time to go back. Total about 5 hours.
Our climate does not indulge in sunny days. On this Sunday afternoon, the sun appeared only in the morning hours. The rest of the day was cloudy.
So, we arrived at the place. This Sunday there are more visitors than usual. And what is especially pleasing on the slope are a lot of children. I counted five instructors! Believe me, it's a lot. Usually there are no more than two instructors on the slope.
The descent from the slope lasts no more than 15 seconds. Damn, how little is that! Quick as one instant descent and you again hang on the yoke. It comes to mind that the comrade's reasoning about the rubber woman is very reasonable.
But when I saw the happy face of my youngest son and the red cheeks of my wife, I realized that it was not in vain that I had spent an hour and a half on the road. On this Sunday afternoon, we were a little happy...
Так получилось, что я живу на великой равнине. В наших краях совершенно нет гор. И надо же так было случиться, я очень люблю горные лыжи. Это моя страсть. Каждый год зимой я выделял одну неделю для поездки в горы. Но в последние два года по известным всем причинам у любителей горных лыж появились довольно серьезные проблемы с выбором направления. Круг открытых зимних курортов значительно сузился.
Дабы хоть немного утолить страсть я отправился в соседний регион на ярославские холмы. Там, на берегах небольшой реки Шакша фанаты горных лыж установили небольшой бугельный подъемник. Так на нашей великой равнине появился очень маленький горнолыжный курорт.
Конечно, этот короткий склон не сможет полноценно утолить страсть. Один мой знакомый сказал, что катание на лыжах с холмов можно сравнить с сексом с резиновой женщиной. Процесс в принципе схожий, но не совсем полноценный. С этим заявлением трудно спорить. Подмечено верно...
Вместо холмов он предложил мне поехать на прогулку в лес. Идея неплохая, и очень полезная для здоровья. Однако мой младший сын очень серьезно спросил, когда же мы наконец поедем кататься на лыжах с холмов Шакши. Отказывать ребенку - не в моих принципах. Поэтому мы предпочли лес холмам :)
От нас до берегов Шакши путь не близкий, около полутора часов езды на авто. Примерно пару часов на катание и пора в обратный путь. Итого около 5 часов.
Наш климат не балует солнечными днями. В этот воскресный день солнце показалось лиш в утренние часы. Остальное время дня было пасмурным.
Итак, мы прибыли на место. В этот воскресный день посетителей больше чем обычно. И что особенно радует на склоне очень много детей. Я насчитал пять инструкторов! Поверьте это очень много. Обычно на склоне не более двух инструкторов.
Спуск со склона длится не более 15 секунд. Черт, как же это мало! Быстрый, как одно мгновенье спуск и ты снова висишь на бугеле. На ум приходит, что рассуждения товарища про резиновую женщину весьма резонны.
Но когда я увидел счастливое лицо младшего сына и красные щеки супруги я понял, что не зря провел полтора часа в дороге. В этот воскресный день мы были немного счастливы...
