Today, I return to share my update about the planting of more succulents in the garden these past few days. When I got more plants from my german friend Edith, I did not have much time since we are in stress about finishng the repairs and mantenance of the house before we leave mid Feb. I was able to do the planting yesterday. We were processing our regstration for the booster vaccine and thank God we had it a week ago just in time for our departure next week.
About the plants, I also had to cut some of the Euphorbia ingens next to the gate because they are outgrowing each other and became so crowded. I did not expect that they would grow that much. At any rate, I cut some of the branches and replant them at the back of the house... I water them everyday since they won´t get any during my absence and it will be almost seven months as from mid Feb when we come back to Andalusia The Aloe Vera and other agaves are doing great. They are robust plants and can store any liquid they could absorb which will help them sustain during the Summer months. It is only a pity that I won´t see some of the Aloe Vera flowers since they are buds now coming out... As for the title picture of this post, I cut some bigger newbies that were growing on its sides and replant them too yesterday.
I have moved many rocks and stones in the garden. The plot is full of them that´s why the soil type is good in growing cacti and succulents. I discovered underneath one big rock I removed, that bugs were hiding there. They have a beautiful dark violet shiny color on their back (there shield?)... they are harmless though, but I needed the big rock to be placed somewhere else, so when I removed it, I gave them other protection and covered them with small rocks and a bit of dried grass enough that they can still move around. I guess they would be alright even if the cold wind blows. Well, that´s it for today, hope you are enjoying your day..... I´ll see you around.
Thanks for reading!
