It's the month of love and even though Valentine is over, it doesn't stop us from still expressing or showing our love to other people. There is no specific time when love must be expressed, love doesn't no have a calender so I choose to show love everyday to those who deserve it.
Expressing my love doesn't mean I have to buy gift or give out money, I can express it with kind gesture and many other ways.
Since it's the month of love, the community theme for this month contest is love and I made something I think it's cool.
I named it "Love in a jar" and it might mean different things to different people. For some people, having love in the jar means a love in bondage but for me, it means a protected love.
A love protected from harm means something I cherish a lot and wouldn't want anything bad to come near it. It means a love I will do anything to keep.
Material Used
A glass container
Electric wire
Cardboard
Red Nail polish
Flat piece of wood.
Glue.
Procedure.
I started by giving the flat piece of wood a touch of red by putting some red nail polish on it.
I wrapped the electric wire around a pen to give me the spring design.
I glued the spring design on the wood with glue and allowed it to dry.
I moved on to cut a love out from the cardboard and painted it with the red nail polish.
I painted both sides and so that when you look at the love shape from both sides, the colour would be red.
I allowed the red nail paint on the cardboard to dry and attached it with a glue to the top of the wire.
I had to hold it for a few minutes before it dried properly.
After everything had dried properly, I gently covered the love shape with the glass jar.
It's simple and very beautiful.
