In life, natural disasters come when we least expect them. When they do arrive, there is nothing we can do. In essence, we have no control over them. We can plan. Our plans are interrupted. We're left wondering whether to continue or cease our activity. I placed my thoughts in a ZAPFIC Monday story for January 16, 2023. The prompt for the story is "ride".
My story is below:
I rise Monday morning.
Control factors for the farm work:
Hat to repel sun rays.
Gloves to reduce calluses.
Long-sleeve shirt to prevent Melanoma.
Boots to prevent foot injury.
I mount my tractor.
Uncontrollable factor:
Drought.
Lost in anguish.
