After completing the Cosmic Creations No. 11 Contest theme "Home." I wanted to share with you another mixed media art project related to the theme.
This current project No. 2 reflects a lonely woman trapped in a maze of fanciful glitter. Each direction she chooses leads her farther into the web of fantasy until she can't distinguish the real from the unreal. Surrounding the maze is a kaleidoscope of hues flickering at intervals.
I share with you how I envisioned my second project below:
In my second version of the theme "Home", I again created a mixed media art project. For this current project, I designed an awesome pure fractal in Apophysis 7X, an advanced fractal rendering program. The fractal is titled "Flanges in a Disk" that I felt resembled an abyss or circular maze. Anyone trapped inside would rotate until returned to the same spot. My other pure fractals lent credibility to the web of uncertainty.
As you can see, some of the pure fractals I rendered on a transparent background to ensure ease of blending with other fractals or images. As I've reiterated, some fractals' natural beauty and details emerge if placed on a black background.
For the female used in my theme, I located an awesome free-sourced image. I envisioned an ethereal female adorned with a blend of colors.

Since the female image contained numerous colors, I decided that my pure fractals would be sufficient to surround the image in. To blend the images, I uploaded them into Canva, my design program.
Below are my procedures that give you glimpse of the tools and features of an upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription at my disposal for finalizing my project.
To a blank, white canvas I added my pure fractal entitled "Flanges in a Disk".
I knew I would need to switch the canvas background to black, so did this, then added the female.
Resized and repositioned the female by inserting it into the fractal; then adjusting the transparency to blend in.
Added the "Menagerie" pure fractal; duplicated it, then repositied it at the bottom of my scene.
Added my remaining pure fractals. Repositioned and resized them to create a maze in all directions. One of my fractals, Blanket provided a light source so that the female's face could be seen. I was pleased how it turned out, so completed the project.
I share with you my completed project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my mixed media art project.
