For my Freestyle Collage No. 45, my theme is "discovery." Everyone loves to just shed the responsibilities of the work week and go on vacation. Relaxing, having fun with family and friends is the normal activity.
But what about those people who use their spare time to discover new people, places, and things. Their quests is not for the excitement or thrill. it is for the pure discovery of learning something new, different, or unfamiliar.
It is often said that one finds or learns things along the way when they least expect them while looking for something else. A type of explorer.
I'd like to share a collage I compiled that depicts a young lady, Ophelia, who bores easily. It's suggested by a friend that she fills her spare time exploring. Deciding this was an excellent suggestion, she undertake a quest to discover realms beyond her familiar space.
In preparing my theme, I located several background images that I felt were unusual to depict my scene of discovery. The first image is that of a female lying down high beyond the mountains. She looks down from the clouds seeking new knowledge.
These three free-sourced images created a lovely contrasting background. I love the colors that stand out in each one.
Below are the additional images I included to complete my theme. These images depict one of discovering new and different things. Images from the LMAC's database, the LIL from members' contributions blended well in my scene:
Alien hand Contributed to the #LIL by @eve66
Dog alien Contributed to the #LIL by @eve66
Pure Fractals created by me in Apophysis:
Blue Glass / Puzzle / Puffy Clouds / Shaggy / Shadowed Rock / Vines / Disk With Cover
Flag
To blend all images, I uploaded all into Canva. Taking advantage of my upgraded membership, the Annual Pro Membership Subscription, I was able to remove backgrounds, apply filters, and colorize.
From a blank canvas, I changed the color to a soft beige to coordinate with the colors I chose for the background female image in the sky.
I added the female image to the blank canvas.
Added objects on the female's body.
Once she looks beyond the clouds, she sees another world.
Duplicating the female image filled the canvas.
Then added a landscape below.
She discovers alien objects in her quest for knowledge.
Below is my completed freestyle collage.
Thanks for your visit. I appreciate it. I hope you like my freestyle collage theme.
