Hello everybody,
I really thought I can't join this awesome Jewelry making contest even though we were given 2 weeks to prepare. As you may know, almost everyday me and hubby travelled just here in our Island then go home at nighttime, tired already to do my crafts. Then, yesterday our car overheat at the middle of the traffic in the next municipality next to our City. Thankful many men lend a hand that the car parked by the roadside.
The solution, our son together with his son went home, got our another service car the multicab then look for another driver, they arrived almost 7pm. They tie the Van connecting to the 4 wheel drive multicab. While on the way, lots and lots of prayer because the Van have no more brakes. Super grateful our speed was smooth, we arrived home safe and sound before 8 pm. Thankful much also our son got a good driver.
But, you know guys I am happy that this thing happened because I can crochet my jewelry gift! The universe is on my side.
One special Woman in my life is my 2nd daughter. I made this jewelry gift for her. Actually last week, I told her about this contest then she said "oh why you will make for me, I your daughter must be the one to gift you. I said, it is okey because you sacrifice yourself for our family. The history was this, that time my hubby's work was not permanent and we must feed 8 of our children. His income was not enough. My daughter age 16 stopped schooling, and worked. She just self study and took the exam for high school and she passed it because since grade one to grade five she was always the first honor then she graduated valedictorian of their class. When she passed the exam, she enrolled in college while working. She stopped when she worked at a cruise liner abroad, where she met her husband. They have two 3 girls but one in heaven already.
I chose her as my benefactor of my jewelry gift because this month she will be a grandmother like me and I will be a great grandma! We expect a baby girl.
I was sad because I do not have beads available as add on to my project. Then, I remembered I have a gold yarn which I won before. Even though no beads but with metallic gold thread the earrings without beads is just okey.
Here's my jewelry gifts: 3 PCs earrings of different shapes, heart shape, wind chime and granny square shape.

My first attempt to design for the earrings was the water droplet but I frogged it because it was not perfect and my time was running out.
So, I crocheted the heart shape again because it was just so quick with 7 extended double crochet into the magic ring, 3 extended triple crochet, 6 extended double crochet and closed the ring attached the earring hooks make two of this but the earring hooks must not on same direction, then weave ends. Walla! Done...super super quick.
Then, next I made the wind chime I call it. Just Chain 21, double crochet into 3rd chain from hook, two double crochet in same space then 3 double crochet in each chain up to the last oh I inserted the earring hooks on the first chain, then fasten off and weave ends. This is my fave among the 3 earrings. Happy me while crocheting it imagined that my daughter will really like them.
Then, the last I made was the granny squares consisting only with round three.
My jewelry gift is now ready to be given.
Sorry no picture with the process because this was my 4th attempt in drafting it suddenly lost. Maybe because my phone capacity is full.
So, just until here, I know this is a very easy peasy project good only for beginners but with my situation no materials on hand plus no more time to make. But, though simple the thought counts.
