Hello everybody,
The beanie I was crocheting was for my son, suppose to be, but I frogged it the cotton I used was thin for me then I was using single crochet stitch so long to make. Instead I make a beanie for hubby using thicker cotton the Rainbow Cotton.
Note: I used Snapseed App for editing to enhance the color of the beanie. Below is the original picture.
Then, here is hubby using the beanie I made timely for Happy Father's Day gift to him, grateful for him giving me money to buy yarns for my passion, hehehe and load for my internet connection.
After I told my hubby to model the beanie I made him, he agreed. When I showed him the picture he laughed and laughed questioning why he is young on the picture I told him I used the Snow App so he will remain young, ahahaha, young at heart! He is 71 yrs young. I was blogging since 2018 but he never read even one of my blogs.
The yarn I used on this beanie is Rainbow Cotton. I googled about this yarn here is the yarn description.
Rainbow is a vegan yarn spun in a classic 8/4 ply fingering weight, made from 100% soft and natural fiber.
Using 3.5mm crochet hook, I made many chains until 11 inches. All single crochet with 10 slip stitch at the end of my work. On this kind of yarn I easily made the item bigger though I used single crochet with back loops only all over stopping once in a while with house work while the beanie was almost complete I was lost with my counting. Funny my work was not even, but I still continue, I was tired to frogged.
Joining time, on top I first sew it with needle.
I was not satisfied with my work, I opt to crocheting with the closing technique of closing a circle, I love the result.
The beanie was done even if it was not even when folded no one will notice. It was good this was for our own use only.
Thanks for dropping by ...
