Good morning crafters all over the world. Today, I want to share with you this crochet water bottle holder, and how to do it.
This was a customized order from one of my clients (online) this week. Her color preference is any shade of pink that is of a flamingo. Luckily, I have the right color of pink in my stash and I could finish the project sooner.
After placing her order, with the measurements given and her 50℅-downpayment being sent to my e-wallet, I proceed with the work process.
Materials:
- 8ply spun polyester (Have to double it for a sturdy effect.)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- thread cutter
- big needle
The design was being sent through my messenger and she wanted me to do exactly that kind of design for her water bottle holder or cover.
So let's begin.
How to do it?
First, I made a magic circle, chain 2, and made 14 double crochet in the 1st round. Then in the 2nd round, made 2 double crochet on every stitch.
I keep on increasing on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds as it will be the base of our water bottle cover. And on the 6th round made 1dc in every stitch. Notice how it looks after the 6th round. This will be the start of working on the body part of our bottle holder.
I enjoyed working on this project, as the color looks like a candy. Okay, I like the pink color. And I know someone who loves pink even if he's a boy. He's collecting some pink wearables, from shoes to shirts to caps! And if you're asking me if he's gay? Nah, he's straight. 100℅ sure of that, I guess. 😁
Anyway, back to our tutorial. I just continue working up to the 33rd round with 1dc each stitch. And on the 34th round, I made some holes for our tie. It should be adjustable to fit the neck of the bottle. Finally, made some single crochet on the last round.
So after inserting the tie, I made 4 little white flowers as a decoration for our holder. I hand sew each petal to the body portion and finally made some "A" initials as requested by the client.
I was able to finish the project for hours in 1 day, completely unmindful of the total # of hours as I was working on and off due to some errands to attend.
This is the final look of our project and I also made a crocheted coin purse, following the 9rounds of the water bottle holder and single crochet on the last round. Of course, I sew a flower also to make it more beautiful.
I'm keeping this cute coin purse for myself as it is not included with her order. Though I ask her if she wanted it also, but unfortunately she will not be needing it as she already had one.
So hours after handing her order, she send this cute picture and telling me how satisfied she was with her crochet water bottle holder. 🥰
Hope you find this tutorial useful and beautiful. Thank you!
Love lots,
