[ENG-SPA] Needlework Your Barbie Contest: Barbie is Rural Engineer (Parte I)

Greetings, beautiful and creative hive people, especially from the @needleworkmonday community. When I saw the #NeedleWorkYourBarbie contest, I was so excited because that was my favorite toy as a kid. It had been over a month and a half since I posted on this wonderful #NeedleWorkmonday community. I missed this interaction between my needlecraft friends. I didn't have time between work and study. Very happy because I passed all the subjects I enrolled in, and I got very satisfactory grades. The effort I made had very good results thanks to God and the support of my parents, brother, and friends. And I find this contest extraordinary because it will be fun to have contact with my doll again coincidentally with the end of the semester and I will only have a week off I will take advantage of participating in the contest then I will make the costume of a Professional Barbie, it will be a Rural Engineer, which will represent me in a few months since I will graduate in that area. This career is developed in the rural sector, covering mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, and agronomy. Soon, next week I will start the seventh semester. Doing this project is not so easy, as it has several accessories somewhat cumbersome I will do it in two parts. The first part consists of jeans and a plaid shirt with a jeans collar and cuffs. I will show the step-by-step below.

Saludos, gente bella y creativas de hive, especialmente de la comunidad @needleworkmonday. Cuando vi el concurso de #NeedleWorkYourBarbie, me emocioné mucho porque ese era mi juguete favorito cuando niña. Tenía más de un mes y medio que no publicaba en esta maravillosa comunidad #NeedleWorkmonday. La cual extrañaba mucho esta interacción entre mis amigos artesanas de las agujas. Realmente no me daba tiempo entre el trabajo y el estudio. Muy feliz porque pasé todas las materias que inscribí, obtuve notas muy satisfactorias. El esfuerzo que hice tuvo muy buen resultado gracias a Dios y al apoyo de mis padres, hermano y amigos. Y me parece extraordinario este concurso porque será divertido volver a tener contacto con mi muñeca y casualmente con el fin del semestre y solo tendré una semana de descanso y voy a aprovechar de participar en el concurso entonces realizaré la vestimenta de una Barbie Profesional, será una Ingeniera Rural, la cual me representará a mi persona dentro de unos cuantos meses, ya que me graduaré en esa área. Esta carrera se desarrolla en el sector rural, abarca mecánica, electricidad, civil, industrial y agronomía. Prontamente, la próxima semana empezaré a incursionar el séptimo semestre. Realizar este proyecto no es tan fácil, como tiene varios accesorios algo engorrosos voy a hacerlo en dos partes. La primera parte consta de: Un jeans, una camisa a cuadros con cuello y puños de jeans. La cual mostraré el paso a paso a continuación.

I made a pattern from a pair of pants I saw on Pinterest ideas. Then, I cut four parts from that pattern.

Hice un molde de un pantalón que vi en ideas de Pinterest. Luego, corté cuatro partes de ese patrón.

I sewed each leg separately along the seam and then joined the two parts together to create the pants.

Cosí por separado cada pierna por la costura y luego uní ambas partes y así creé el pantalón.

🩷Shirt/Camisa🩷:

Here I had to improvise 100%, since I didn't get anything on how to make a plaid shirt and I know that on YouTube there might be one or more tutorials, but I can't watch videos because I don't have Internet and it's expensive to watch them. So I made some patterns as I came up with, measuring and testing (I used a separate fabric in which I did the tests to then do it with the plaid fabric), giving a good result.

Aquí si tuve que improvisar al 100%, ya que no conseguí nada de como se hacía una camisa de cuadros y sé que en YouTube pudo haber uno o varios tutoriales, pero yo no puedo ver videos porque no tengo Internet y sale costoso verlos. Así que hice unos patrones como se me ocurrió, midiendo y probando (utilicé una tela aparte en la cual hacía las pruebas para luego hacerlo con la tela de cuadros), dando un buen resultado.

It occurred to me to make a plaid shirt, since, as I said before, I am doing a Barbie "Rural Engineer", and this is dedicated to the improvement of tasks in rural areas, that is, in the countryside, using technologies always thinking about the care of the environment. It was not easy, I had to unpick several times because some parts were too big, others too small or I sewed them upside down 😂.

Se me ocurrió hacer una camisa de cuadros, ya que, como dije anteriormente, estoy haciendo una Barbie “Ingeniera Rural”, y esta se dedica a la mejoría de las tareas en las áreas rurales, o sea, en el campo, empleando las tecnologías siempre pensando en el cuidado del medio ambiente. No estuvo fácil, tuve que descoser en varias ocasiones porque algunas partes me quedaban muy grandes, otras muy pequeñas o las cosía al revés 😂.

This is how my Barbie is turning out. Making these jeans and plaid shirts has not been easy, because I am not a seamstress; however, using a little bit of desire and desire to do it well, ideas blossomed and I was able to make both the jeans and the shirt. Many times I was sad because I didn't have enough time to make the crafts that I love like amigurumis and share them, but today I'm here with Barbie reliving the moments when I played, today I play but seriously making this set of country dresses. Así está quedando mi Barbie. Realizar estos jeans y camisa a cuadro, no ha sido fácil, porque no soy costurera; sin embargo, usando un poquito de ganas y deseos de hacerlo bien, las ideas florecieron y pude hacer tanto el jeans como la camisa. Muchas veces me entristecía porque no tenía tiempo suficiente para hacer las manualidades que me apasiona como los amigurumis y compartirlos, pero hoy estoy aquí con la Barbie reviviendo los momentos cuando jugaba, hoy juego pero en serio haciendo este conjunto de vestidos de campo.
