Design
Designs for this week are focused around developing a sloper (basic pattern used to make all other patterns that adheres to a certain shape and fit) for a bodycon dress. I’ve used my sloper to make a skirt set with a ¾ bowslit skirt and a boobtube top clinched in by a buckle. This starter range consists of cropped tops, skirts and dresses for young woman.
The idea is to have tops, skirts and pants that can all be used in their own, as sets or as jumpsuits and dresses, by changing the individual pieces around and mixing and matching. So, any pattern for a top fits with any skirt as a dress and likewise tops and bottoms (shorts and trousers/leggings)
Skirts will be a range of full-circle, half-circle, A-line and straight cut. Bottoms will be tight and loose fitting shorts, ¾ pants, leggings and bell trousers.
A selection of embellishments, such as frills or slits can be added to any design. Hopefully, this makes the range of patterns as versatile as possible.
