¡Hola, espero te encuentres de maravilla!
Hi, I hope you are feeling great
The first time I was asked to knit custom amigurumi "keychain size" I declined the request for two reasons:
1. I knew it would take me time to design the pattern (knit and unknit).
2. Because it was Christmas time, so I had other orders already scheduled.
The funny thing was that days before I had the exact idea of how to design it, plus I had the safety eyes and the key rings available. What I lacked was time, so I put it off until now.
I know that many women on this date complain about equal rights and so on... They even get angry with other women saying that there is nothing to celebrate today and blah, blah, blah.
For me, what really matters are the actions, that is, if you spend your time criticising everyone, then that's your lifestyle (not only today, of course).
Since last year I decided to highlight on this date those women who were and are unique, for their courage, for daring to break paradigms without caring what people say, those who finance their research with their own resources, in other words those who do not limit themselves in the face of life's challenges.
That is why today I bring you "María Rostworoski", who on her return to Peru saw a great challenge...that of investigating what our roots were like, namely the Inca Empire. That period where school textbooks only show us the look of the victors humiliating the Andeans. She brought together archaeology, history and research and demonstrated that Peruvians should love our Andean roots for the achievements we had during the pre-Inca and Inca times.
She is one of the leading historians of the 20th century, which is why last year the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (CRBP) included her on the 50 soles banknote (about 13 dollars).
¡Y eso es todo!
¡Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!
She also has books where she highlights the role of women in antiquity. She was one of the pioneers because most of them did not investigate women.
