She fell into the terrible darkness. A darkness that had no end, the darkness of her mind. The suffering was expressed in her beautiful eyes, her legs had no strength to support her body. A lost, lugubrious look, sweat on her forehead, so much light around her and so much darkness in her thoughts. They spoke to her but she did not understand, dozens of people around her and none to stop her despair.
Another old piece, this one I did in March and I liked it very much, I tried to express the depression and the bad moments that some people suffer in loneliness with no one to help them.

-Step 1:
Making the sketch was a total nightmare, I tried many poses, layer after layer, trying to give that body expression of suffering, but it was almost impossible to get it, I made almost fifteen sketches.
-Step 2:
After a lot of sketching, I finally got the pose I wanted and worked on it. As you can see, at the beginning her features were asian and I wanted the wet hair against her skin, but both things would be discarded later.
-Step 3:
For the coloring I kept the perspective base of the ground and made the background color lighter to generate contrast. While coloring and after giving my eyes a rest for several hours, I resumed painting and noticed that despite how much I struggled with the pose of the character was still wrong, therefore, I took the lasso tool and transform to correct the shoulders and right arm, as they were poorly positioned.
-Step 4:
The illustration has an original size of 8000x6000px so I dedicated myself to add small details to the skin, although if you don't zoom in you can't see them correctly, but to give you an idea, I even made the veins of the hands and some pores of the skin of the face.
On the other hand I wanted the dark stuff coming out of his eyes to be thick as oil, so I added some volume with some small highlights. I also kept the perspective lines and turned them into floor tiles, and with a textured brush I got that dirt on the floor, to make it look like the girl was moving around looking for help. And of course we have to talk a bit about the background subjects, these are polygonal models duplicated over and over again to give that crowded look, but since I didn't want to make them so flashy, I increased their brightness and let them blend a bit with the background, plus I added noise to make them disappear even more.
Tell me in the comments that you imagine when you see this illustration.
See you in a future post!
