Building House #10 - preparing for brick laying!

in #homesteading2 months ago

We are already at episode 10, finally close to some bricklaying what makes the shape of the house become more visible!
I started to put my blog link of hive on my YouTube videos.:)

This video is to make it all ready for bricklaying.

Great work dear @gogreenbuddy nicely picked that heavy concert mixture machine and taken to the place where needed. Just imagine how difficult it would be in primitive days where there was no such tractors to do the heavy lifting.. cheers

The sun got really hot towards the middle of the build.

Yes its the hardest part for me, I burn too much calories always hot

This man never needs to go to a gym, a lot of exercise he is already doing. Btw, why don't you hire some men to aid you in this work.

There are barely reasonable people available that aren't alcoholic :p.
The good ones have waiting list and it's too much fun to give away the work.

I come from a family of bricklayers, so I know firsthand how much hard work it takes to build anything. It's impressive to see you doing all this on your own. Later, I will watch the entire video, it's interesting to see the methods used in other parts of the world. Good job and keep it up!

Thanks I enjoy hard work, weekly it's.office work anyway

Hey man, great job on the foundation work! The casting of the concrete looks neat (I'm guessing no honeycombs). The vibration/compaction work you did works well. Keep sharing your progress 👍👍.

I just noticed that you haven't finished the house yet, and you're already having visitors: a dog, a cat, a frog, and hens as well. 😅

As the days go by your building progress, a very good job indeed, the happy is different in doing something yourself

You are a work-loving and hard-working person. Best wishes to you.

There's definitely a lot of work in this video, man. I wonder how long it took you to edit it. Maybe it's just me, but it looks like a lot of work.

As for what you did in the video, it is very enjoyable to watch your series of building a house on your own. What Solominer did on his farm and what you did in your house shows me how a person can build their own house and change their environment.

I drop a like to Youtube video as well

There is some effort involved yes.
7 hours of video footage, 300gb total size.
4 hrs video editing and 4 hours render time..

Huge work man. I'Ve never rendered sth like that. Most was 5 gb I guess haha

Main reason is i don't use Timelapse as i prefer speeding up video. 4k 25 fps max bitrate of go-pro is 100mbit/sec. what means roughly 1 GB per min of video.

If i speed up a video 80 times it becomes 80gb/min :D final render in H265 is roughly 100mb per min. This video was roughly 6gb final size for 55minutes

300 to 6 is good work 😂. You gotta have a strong computer.

I'm looking forward to the next video.

Easy jobs like adding the tar that make a huge difference are my favorite as visually it looks so much better for so little effort. Keep up the great work!!

I agree, digging was the worst & filtering out old farm trash. It just never ended.

This is incredible work. So you have laid some foundations for the house now and I can see how much its taken out of you, but you are clearly determined. Are you literally building your own house and documenting the build?

I see from your username and website that you are clearly passionate about sustainability and the environment. But is it really possible for any of us to find the resources to build our own environmentally friendly house?
