Well, today, I want to share my experience of attending my nephew's birthday celebration.
My nephew is the child of my younger brother. He was the first grandchild on my side. The celebration was ordinary, but we tried to attend in complete attendance. Usually, the celebration is held at his mother’s side since he has many cousins in the area. It is always fine for us since we let the parents decide what they want in their lives.
It was last month when we celebrated the 5th birthday of my nephew. We chose to use the minivan so that we had less expenses for gasoline. My parents’ house is just meters away from our house, so we just picked them up from their place.
The place of my nephew’s mother is kilometers away from our house. It is one of the neighboring barangays. My husband and the mother of my nephew are related. They have the same bloodline. So, my husband does not feel shy every time we visit their place.
The parents chose dinner time because it was a DIY celebration, and they were the ones who prepared the area and the food too.
There was no extravagant event during the celebration, just an ordinary birthday celebration of the people like us.
The important thing was the party ended well and we went back home, safe and sound.
