DIY project that went wrong
Not all the crafts I do are good, in any area, in fact even in my drawings, in things where I pretend to do it by myself to save money by hiring an expert, things that end in disaster.
To tell a little of the story of these crafts that went wrong and some of them I didn't publish because they turned out awful, I was shopping and saw prices of similar things, looking for economy and working with recycled materials I said to myself: -I can do it myself! The truth is that I tried but the result was terrible.

Manualidades o proyectos DIY que salieron mal
No todas las manualidades que hago me quedan bien, en cualquier área, de hecho hasta en mis dibujos, en cosas donde pretendo hacerlo por mí misma para horrarme un dinero contratando un experto, cosas que terminan en desastre.
Para contar un poco la historia de estas manualidades que salieron mal y algunas no publiqué porque quedaron espantosas, estuve de compras y vi precios de cosas parecidas, buscando economía y trabajando con materiales reciclados me dije: -¡Puedo hacerlo por mí misma! La verdad lo intenté pero salió terrible el resultado.

For the pot holders, I started to cut the fabrics following a pattern, I think that having cut them in a circle was the biggest mistake because when I sewed it and turned it over it was not neat, I could not sew the edge tape, it did not look good, I tried to leave it like that and it looked even more horrible.
To make matters worse, I applied diagonal stitching to join the quilted fabrics and the texture of the fabric was unpleasant to the touch, in fact it felt dirty and full of grease, it is like a cotton almost like felt, I thought that the fabric would be appropriate to withstand the heat, maybe it would work, however, I began to imagine it filling with grease and other things and there was that project, all wrong. Maybe I will recycle the fabrics for other projects later.

Para los agarra ollas, comencé a recortar las telas siguiendo un patrón, creo que haberlos recortado en círculo fue el mayor error pues al coserlo y voltearlo no quedó prolijo, no pude coser la cinta del borde, no quedaba bien, traté de dejarlo así y se vio más horrible todavía.
Para empeorar la cuestión, apliqué costura en diagonal para juntar las telas acolchadas y la textura de la tela quedo desagradable al tacto, de hecho se sentía sucia y llena de grasa, es como un algodón casi que fieltro, pensé que sería apropiada la tela para soportar el calor, tal vez si funcionaría sin embargo, comencé a imaginármela llenándose de grasa y otras cosas y allí quedó ese proyecto, todo mal. Quizá recicle las telas para otros proyectos más adelante.

At first glance the box seems to be well achieved but I show you the disastrous flaws it has, it is definitely not a quality project worthy of giving or selling, it is now part of the decoration of my spaces, however it has no utility, as it is not assembled perfectly, and the material is very soft, it can not stand as I would like, it could be functional for gift wrapping, however, it is poorly achieved and not very graceful when you see it up close. Photographs can be deceiving.
The material used for that failed craft was lost, it can't be recycled at least, however I liked the flower and the flowers and left it on the shelf where I keep some books.
Since I can't put anything inside, it is empty with no use.
I failed in this project because I didn't take the right measurements and the material is not strong enough to keep its shape. It happens when we want to be pioneers in things or when we want to do everything by ourselves, we avoid consulting an expert or following a tutorial that costs nothing and in cases like these, we lose the material and it can be even more expensive than buying it, that's how it is.
For example, the cost of the pot holders in the store was 4$ a pair, if we take into account what I spent on fabric, felt, thread and others to make a failed project, it was more expensive.
The cost of the heart-shaped box, according to the size I made, was 3$ if we take into account what I spent in materials for its elaboration and decoration, it was even more expensive.
Yes, these crafts went wrong, like many things I do, however I learn from those mistakes, I just told in a publication of a sewing project that I thought I had ruined the fabric, I thought to abandon that project, later I tried again and corrected all the flaws, leaving a very beautiful blouse that fits me perfectly.
As advice about my experience, I can say that it is not superfluous to consult an expert before, hire an expert or otherwise investigate well, use patterns or additional help so that we do not end up throwing away material and money with it, if my mother were alive, I know she would have been helpful with her advice and would have been the first to consult. Now I turn to online experts so that I don't end up with such disastrous projects even if the latter is not guaranteed,
It was a pleasure to share the experience of my fails with those DIY projects that I didn't want to publish.

A simple vista la caja parece estar bien lograda pero te muestro los fallos desastrosos que tiene, definitivamente no es un proyecto de calidad digno de regalar o vender, ahora forma parte de la decoración de mis espacios, sin embargo no tiene ninguna utilidad, ya que no está armada de forma perfecta, y el material es muy blando, no puede sostenerse como quisiera, podría ser funcional para envoltorio de regalo, sin embargo, está mal logrado y poco agraciado cuando lo ves de cerca. Las fotografías pueden engañar.
El material usado para esa manualidad fallida se perdió, no se puede reciclar al menos, sin embargo me gustó el flor y las flores y lo dejé en el estante donde guardo unos libros.
Como no puedo meter nada dentro, está vacío sin ninguna utilidad.
Fallé en este proyecto por no tomar bien las medidas y el material no es muy fuerte como para que mantenga su forma. Ocurre cuando queremos ser pioneros en las cosas o cuando queremos hacer todo por nosotros mismos, evitamos consultar a un experto o seguir un tutorial que nada cuesta y en casos como estos, perdemos el material y puede salirnos aun más costoso que haberlo comprado, es así.
Por ejemplo, el costo de los agarra ollas en la tienda era de 4$ el par, si sacamos cuenta de lo que gasté en tela, en fieltro, hilo y demás para que quedara un proyecto fallido pues me salió más caro.
El costo de la caja con forma de corazón, según el tamaño que hice tenía un costo de 3$ si sacamos cuenta de lo que gasté en materiales paro su elaboración y decoración, me salió aun más costoso.
Si, estas manualidades salieron mal, como muchas cosas que hago, sin embargo de esos errores aprendo, recién conté en una publicación de un proyecto de costura que creí haber arruinado la tela, pensé abandonar ese proyecto, más adelante lo volví a intentar y corregí todas las fallas, quedando una blusa de dama muy hermosa que me queda a la perfección.
Como consejo acerca de mi experiencia, puedo decir que no está de más antes consultar un experto, contratar un experto o en su defecto investigar bien, usar patrones o ayuda adicional para que no terminemos botando material y dinero con ello, si mi madre estuviera viva, sé que hubiera sido de ayuda con sus consejos y fuera la primera en consultar. Ahora acudo a expertos online para que no me queden más proyectos tan desastrosos aun esto último no esté garantizado,
