¡Hola a todos los amantes de la costura, el bordado, el crochet y otras artes maravillosas del hilo y la aguja!

He vuelto para compartirles un bolso único y muy especial que hice para mi hija @isauris. Resulta que cuando terminé de
realizar mi ´proyecto anterior, (el bolso morado), mi hija me pidió que hiciera uno para ella, pero que lo realizara con hilo matizado que me trajo. Yo sabía que no iba a ser suficiente y como en ese momento no teníamos presupuesto para comprar más, me propuse hacerle un diseño único, aprovechando todos los pedacitos sobrantes de proyectos anteriores.

¿Por cierto, ustedes que hacen con esos pedacitos sobrantes?

Empecé sin una idea muy clara de como iba a distribuir los colores. Le hice la parte de abajo morada, ya que me había quedado un par de ovillos de mi proyecto anterior y es un color que combinaba muy bien con el hilo matizado, que era el protagonista de este proyecto.

Luego de unas cuantas vueltas integré un poco de rosa, pensando que quizá no tendría que usar los recortes si alternaba el rosa con el hilo matizado, pero sacando cuentas, me percaté de qué igual no sería suficiente, así que empecé a incluir las hebras de diversos colores y longitudes. Algunas alcanzaban para apenas unos puntos, otras para una vuelta completa.

Las franjas de recortes venían seguidas de una franja del hilo tricolor que tanto le gustaba a mi hija, produciendo un efecto hermoso. Cuando ella vio los avances estaba realmente emocionada y eso me animó a continuar con el proceso.

Seguí trabajando con el mismo patrón del bolso anterior, pero le hice la trenza para cerrarlo, un poco más gruesa que en la versión anterior y además multicolor, procurando usar unos colores que contrastaran con los que quedarían por debajo para resaltarla.

Creo que el resultado está bellísimo y el diseño multicolor me recuerda los trajes típicos mexicanos (que no tiene nada que ver, pero me lo recuerda), puede ser por su gran colorido.

Ahora estoy trabajando en un proyecto nuevo, estoy haciendo un gorro (por cierto que ya me encargaron uno a juego con este bolso), pero del gorro ya les hablaré luego.

De verdad estoy muy contenta con el resultado, no solo porque quedó hermoso, sino porque le di uso a casi todos los sobrantes de los proyectos anteriores.

I'm back to share with you a unique and very special bag I made for my daughter @isauris. It turns out that when I finished making my previous project (the purple bag), my daughter asked me to make one for her, but to make it with nuanced yarn that she brought me. I knew it wasn't going to be enough and since at that time we didn't have the budget to buy more, I decided to make a unique design, taking advantage of all the leftover pieces from previous projects.

By the way, what do you do with those leftover pieces?

I started without a very clear idea of how I was going to distribute the colors. I made the bottom part purple, since I had left a couple of balls from my previous project and it is a color that combined very well with the nuanced yarn, which was the protagonist of this project.

After a few rounds I added a little pink, thinking that maybe I wouldn't have to use the scraps if I alternated the pink with the tinted thread, but after doing the math I realized that it still wouldn't be enough, so I started to include the strands of pink. Various colors and lengths. Some were enough for just a few points, others for a full lap.

The stripes of cutouts were followed by a stripe of the tricolor thread that my daughter loved so much, producing a beautiful effect. When she saw her progress she was really excited and that encouraged me to continue with the process.

I continued working with the same pattern as the previous bag, but I made the braid to close it, a little thicker than in the previous version and also multicolored, trying to use colors that contrasted with those that would be underneath to highlight it.

I think the result is beautiful and the multicolored design reminds me of typical Mexican costumes (which has nothing to do with it, but it reminds me), it may be because of its great color.

Now I'm working on a new project, I'm making a hat (by the way, they already ordered one to match this bag), but I'll talk about the hat later.

I am really very happy with the result, not only because it turned out beautiful, but because I used almost all the leftovers from previous projects.
