The hobby of making videos has gradually brought me into the limelight of doing professional shots when I'm opportuned. As a creative, it was so easy for me to get into the photography/videography space.
Telling stories through video is the order of the day on social media nowadays, and as a creative one would do well to maximise video tools.
I hope to make mainstream pro-video someday as a part of my creative prowess, and I try to enjoy the journey every step of the way.
From creating random shots with my smartphone to seeing how best I can make my old Lumix camera work out shots tht can stand out in today's videography space, I use all what I can lay my hands on to hone my skills and create the best out of what is available to me.
So whether I'm out on professional shoot or I'm just randomly taking shots, I look for perspective, I look for a story to tell.
And here, this video is one of the couple stories I managed to tell recently.
Weddings are a beautiful thing. And the soul of any wedding are embedded in the great joy that come from starting a new home and the memories that are made.
What makes a good videographer in my opinion is knowing how to tell a god visual story whether planned or unplanned.
And I had an opportunity here.
So this was what happened that enabled me make this video:
I was in discussion with a friend @omoajok (a professional hairstylist) looking push her work on social media with professional shots of her work. I was willing to help so we worked together to create cinematic shots of her next wedding Hairstyling process.
We arrived quite early at the scene of the event and things were quite delayed. I tried to try to capture shots generally in case things didn't work out as advised by the hairstylist.
To cut the long story short, things didn't work out as exactly as we intended but I got to capture some candid shots of the bride as she prepared to meet her man.
And this video is the story of how it went.
Here are some shots too:
