Hello, friends especially needleworkers !
Recently I keep working on my new hobby, crochet. I practiced more and more, I realized I am just a newbie so I keep practice and exercise day by day because I realized only that way one day I would be an expert. I made slow progress everyday I think but I really enjoy the process. The one that keep my holding on was the wise words that every expert was one a beginner. And finally I finished my very first crochet project, ruffled coaster. Not so perfect I know but at least I am so happy that I finally could finish a thing.
To make this project I used chunky yarn that I couldn’t use before (yay), and also I used the 8 size of the crochet hook (or 5 mm).
First, what I did was the slip know then I made the chain three and then I double crochet to the first chain I made. After had finished, I made 7 more of this same double crochet.
After finished to make this around, I closed it by slip stitch to the first single crochet, then i made up 2 chains. And I did 2 double crochets on each single crochet around.
After around had finished, I slipped stitch to the first single crochet. Next, I made the chain 1 and then I made up 2 single crochets on each stitch around.
Last thing I should do was making the ruffles around. To make this, to each of the single crochet I made 5 double crochets then I pulled through the yarn form the last loose to the first crochet loop.
To make the last, I did the chain two then skip the last stitch and slip it to the very first stitch.
Then my very first coaster project is finished. Not perfect one I think but I am glad I finally finished it. Now it could be place under my mug as a coaster.
