Mientras tanto me animé a tejer un modelo de paño para la cocina, el baño o para usar en la mesita de noche. La verdad es que se le puede dar diferentes usos. La idea de tejerlo surgió porque tal vez vaya a visitar a una señora en estos días y quiero llevarle un 🎁 obsequio. Días pasados pasé por la tienda y le compré algunas toallas o paños de cocina porque sé que le serán muy útiles en el hogar. No obstante, me parece de mayor valor entregarle uno elaborado por mis manos, aunque sea para que lo tenga de adorno.

Para realizar este paño usé un ovillo de hilo pabilo tradicional color blanco, un poco de hilo pabilo color azul marino y otro poco de hilo pabilo color azul rey matizado. El tamaño lo determinas al tejer la cadeneta de inicio. Puedes hacerlo cuadrado o rectangular.
To make this cloth I used a ball of traditional white wicking yarn, a little bit of navy blue wicking yarn and another little bit of king blue shaded wicking yarn. You determine the size when you weave the starting chain stitch. You can make it square or rectangular.

Todo el tejido que realices en esta parte debe ser el 85% o 90% del tamaño del paño. Una vez logrado el tamaño tejemos en punto red al menos tres vueltas por todo alrededor del paño. En las esquinas se teje un aumento de punto alto separado por dos cadenas.

En la última vuelta de puntos altos haremos un punto picot sobre cada uno de los puntos altos tejidos en la vuelta anterior. De esta manera quedará decorado el paño y se verá más llamativo. Además puede agregarle otro toque decorativo tejiendo una especie de bordado sobre las líneas o entre vueltas, entrando en los puntos y sobre los puntos altos. Como pueden ver yo decoré con líneas verticales y horizontales en forma paralela. Me costó un poquito porque hace tiempo que no bordaba con ganchillo. Incluso tejí y destejí. Lo intenté con la aguja lanera y no pude. Había olvidado por completo cómo se realiza el punto 😸

Decidí hacerle una asa por si la señora desea tenerlo de adorno le sea más fácil guindarlo.
