Greetings
We Filipinos love to celebrate the fiesta. And today I will share with you how we celebrate the fiesta of our chapel and our Patron Saint is Sr. Sta. Cruz and San Miguel Archangel. And because of covid-19, there was a fiesta for several years but there was no amusement, so, now each of us is very eager to celebrate the fiesta.
Before the day of the feast there is a league sports like basketball and volleyball.
And after the championship of the league, the novena will start immediately and will last 9 days. And after every novena there is a program we call nite in every ward of our area.
And on the day of the fiesta we used to have a mass and a parade of our Patron Saint in our area. And will offer a candle in gratitude for the blessings received, ask for forgiveness and most of all guide us on a daily basis.

Pancit
And because it's a fiesta, everyone prepares delicious food like pancit, pork humba, tinolang manok and fried chicken. The pancit guys don't really miss that on the dining table every time there are happy celebrations because it is a symbol of prolonging life and good luck. Pork humba is the specialty of our Bisaya and it is considered a national dish here in Cebu. And there is also fried chicken that is a favorite of children. And also we have our native tinolang manok. It is favorite of our friends from cities and nearby towns. And the most famous would be lechon pork but unfortunately we don't have it now because of the damage caused by typhoon Odette because we spent the money we saved on repairing our home. But even though that happened, we are still grateful because we are all here complete and celebrating the fiesta.
And after dinner every home will walk to the chapel because there is a lot of entertainment there like a disco, there are a lot of toy shops, food and drinks and also there is also gambling which is entertaining.
That's how we celebrate a fiesta in our area and it's very fun.
