Hello everyone.
A beautiful day to you all, it's gives my joy to be able to make this post today, despite all efforts to meet up with #needleworkmonday yesterday was not possible due to my unfinished work, though I started the making of these dresses earlier than needed just for me to meet up with the weekly post but unfortunately, I couldn't meet up.
Well, I'm here to share with you the making of two dresses for my client's little daughters. The fabric was brought for me to make something beautiful but with low cost by my client for her little daughters, I thought of what to do without spending more.
With the material, I cut out x4 of the waist measurement to make a box pleat after which I proceeded to the upper bodice using the measurements taken but for the dress to to be too plain, I had to mix it with a satin material for the belt and also the sleeves band, the same procedure was used to make for both dress and finally, I have my two dresses ready for the girls.
Below are the pictorial view of the cutting and sewing process.
The box pleat for the lower part
The upper bodice was cut out using the half length and a dart for fitting.
I made a puff sleeve with a black satin band to add beauty to the dress and sew it to the upper bodice of the dress.
The upper bodice was sewn together with the lower part to give a complete dress with a long belt attached to it and a bow at the centre front of the dress as well as a zipper at the back.
