Saludos para toda esta hermosa y creativa comunidad, estoy de nuevo por aquí para compartir mi participación en el concurso de esta semana que nos invita a decorar letras y me pareció una temática estupenda porque son muchas las opciones para elaborar una linda decoración. Vi en Pinterest esta imagen que me inspiró y quise hacer mi versión para compartir con ustedes, en este maravilloso encuentro de talentosos manualistas.

Greetings to all this beautiful and creative community, I'm here again to share my participation in this week's contest that invites us to decorate letters and I thought it was a great theme because there are many options to make a nice decoration. I saw on Pinterest this image that inspired me and I wanted to make my version to share with you, in this wonderful meeting of talented crafters.

In this image I leave you the materials I used to decorate my letter, of course, the initial of my name, I wanted to do it with a country and romantic style. The combination of the sackcloth and the lace makes a delicate contrast.
Let's get to work!

1.- Dibujamos la letra escogida en el cartón, yo la voy a hacer plana, para eso marcamos dos veces la figura para que ya tengamos la tapa trasera. Recortamos la letra prolijamente.
1.- We draw the chosen letter on the cardboard, I am going to make it flat, for that we mark the figure twice so that we already have the back cover. Cut out the letter neatly.
2.- Presentamos la letra en la tela de saco y comenzamos a forrarla, estiramos bien la tela para que no queden arrugas y dejamos secar un ratito.
2.-We present the letter on the sackcloth and start lining it, stretch the fabric well so that there are no wrinkles, and let it dry for a while.
3.- Luego de que se haya secado el forrado de la letra, procedemos a decorarla, según nuestro gusto. Recorté un pedacito de encaje, me fijé que en cada patita la letra quedara una florecita del bordado y le pegué en el centro una media perlita. Me encantó cómo ve, muy delicado.
3.- After the lining of the letter has dried, we proceed to decorate it, according to our taste. I cut a little piece of lace, I made sure that in each leg of the letter there was a little embroidery flower and I glued a half pearl in the center. I loved how it looks, very delicate.
4.- Para continuar con la decoración, saqué la plantilla de una flor para hacerla con la tela de saco. Es importante, hacer una mezcla de pega y agua y ponerla sobre la tela para endurecerla y, así cuando haya secado, poder dibujar y recortar la flor. Armé tres flores sobre unos lacitos de pita y en el centro le puse un balín dorado para darle un toque de luz y brillo a la decoración de mi letra.
4.-To continue with the decoration, I took the template of a flower to make it with the sackcloth. It is important to make a mixture of glue and water and put it on the fabric to harden it so that when it has dried, you can draw and cut out the flower. I assembled three flowers on some pita ribbons and in the center, I put a golden ball to give a touch of light and brightness to the decoration of my letter.
5.- Para sostener la letra, forré con la tela de saco un listón de cartón y lo pegué por detrás como un paral. Luego, ubiqué las florecitas del lado izquierdo de la letra, deshilaché las puntas de los lazos y así terminé la decoración de la letra "A" para mi participación de esta semana.
5.- To hold the letter, I lined a cardboard ribbon with the sackcloth and glued it on the back as a parallel. Then, I placed the little flowers on the left side of the letter, frayed the ends of the ribbons, and thus finished the decoration of the letter "A" for my participation this week.
Y el resultado final, una letra al estilo campestre y romántico. ¿Qué les parece?
