Today we walked with Romashka in the field and in the forest. I didn't plan it. I was planning to finish an article on animal rights that I am writing for a notary journal. But my friend came... and she suggested... and I could not resist the temptation to leave work and take a little walk.
The weather is just wonderful: warm but not hot. We gladly walked a rather long distance across the field to the forest and then the same distance through the forest.
Romashka was very pleased. She loves when all our attention belongs to her. I have already said that she is a very comfortable dog for walking. She never runs far and I don't need to worry that she might get lost.
We found many delicious gifts for our squirrels: cherry plum, acorns and rowan berries. The cherry plum surprised me the most. It was several trees at once and they were all covered with small but tasty fruits!
We decided to return there tomorrow to collect more cherry plums and rowan berries and freeze them so that the squirrels have treats in winter.
The forest looks very cute. Even though the summer was hot as hell, the colors didn't fade.
Returning home, I immediately took the gifts to the squirrels. The acorns were gone in a minute! Fine, I'll bring more for them tomorrow.
I hope that a soft, warm and bright autumn awaits us ahead.
