Hace unos días me puse a la tarea de hacerle una limpieza al almacenamiento de mi teléfono, eliminando algunas fotos y videos que ya no necesito, una que otra foto repetida, y revisando me encontré con la fotos de el proceso de confección de este hermoso vestido de tela demin a rayas. Este vestido lo hice en diciembre del año pasado y no se por que no lo compartí, a lo mejor estaba muy ocupada en aquél momento. El destino lo confeccioné para Dulce María la hija de Celena (una amiga que considero como una hermana) así que no quise ponerle excusas para hacerlo.

Greetings dear sewing lovers, I hope you are feeling wonderful 🤗 happy Thursday. A few days ago I set myself the task of cleaning the storage of my phone, deleting some photos and videos that I no longer need, a few repeated photos, and reviewing I found the photos of the process of making this beautiful striped demin fabric dress. I made this dress in December last year and I don't know why I didn't share it, maybe I was too busy at that time. I made it for Dulce María, Celena's daughter (a friend that I consider as a sister) so I didn't want to make excuses for her to do it.

El 30 de diciembre del año pasado estaba yo cosiendo estresada, aquí en Venezuela tenemos la costumbre de vestir ropa nueva para fin de año, y a mí se me complicó todo en aquél entonces tenía muchas costura acumuladas y parecía que se me iba hacer imposible terminarlas a tiempo, pero si se pudo, espero no repetir la misma historia este año 🤣😅

On December 30 last year I was sewing stressed, here in Venezuela we have the custom of wearing new clothes at the end of the year, and I had a lot of accumulated sewing and it seemed that it would be impossible for me to finish them on time, but if I could, I hope not to repeat the same story this year 🤣😅

Para este proyecto utilice metro y medio de tela demin a rayas muy bella, también utilice hilo blanco, Alfileres, Tijera, Cinta métrica, una camisa patrón, Aguja y máquina de coser y mucho amor y paciencia porsupuesto. 💕

For this project use meter and a half of very beautiful striped demin fabric, also use white thread, Pins, Scissors, Tape measure, a pattern shirt, Needle and sewing machine and lots of love and patience of course. 💕

• Lo primero que realicé fue la falda del vestido, hice un corte de falda circular, este corte de falda ases mi fácil de hacer solo necesitamos doblar la tela a la mitad y luego volver a doblar a la mitad para obtener una sola pieza, para el ancho de cintura dependerá de las medidas de la niña, con una cinta métrica medimos y sobre la tela marcamos el cuarto de la media de cintura, yo le coloque 2cm por qué está tela no estira, el largo de la falda también es opcional, puede ser el largo que desees, luego cosí un dobladillo al borde de la falda y ya tenemos lista esta pieza.

• The first thing I did was the skirt of the dress, I made a circular skirt cut, this skirt cut aces my easy to do we just need to fold the fabric in half and then fold it in half again to get a single piece, for the waist width will depend on the measurements of the girl, with a tape measure we measure and on the fabric we mark the quarter of the waist stocking, I put 2cm because this fabric does not stretch, the length of the skirt is also optional, it can be the length you want, then I sewed a hem to the edge of the skirt and we have this piece ready.

• Para la pieza del top utilice una camisa como patrón, saqué la pieza delantera y la pieza trasera la dividí a la mitad, ahora cosí un vivo cortado al sesgo de la misma para la abertura en la pieza trasera, también lo cosí en el cuello y las sisas, para poder cerrar la abertura de la espalda coloqué una hebilla ajustable y así quedaría la segunda pieza terminada.

• For the top piece I used a shirt as a pattern, I took out the front piece and the back piece I divided it in half, now I sewed a cut on the bias of it for the opening in the back piece, I also sewed it in the neck and armholes, in order to close the opening in the back I placed an adjustable buckle and this is how the second finished piece would look like.

• Me tocó unir estas dos piezas y lo hice colocando el derecho de la falda como el derecho del top, pase costura recta por soda la cintura y luego zigzag para dar un mejor acabado.

• I had to join these two pieces and I did it by placing the right side of the skirt as the right side of the top, sewing a straight seam through the waistband and then zigzagging it to give a better finish.
