You can use rat thread or Chinese thread, I used worsted thread because it was the one I had available and it matched the color of the pearls.

The second step is to attach the cut thread to the keychain hardware and burn the ends with the match to begin introducing the pearls, letters and decorations to personal taste. It had a Turkish eye that matched it very well but the thickness of the thread was greater and I couldn't use it.
El segundo paso es unir el hilo cortado al herraje de llavero y quemarle las puntas con la fosforera para comenzar a introducir las perlas, letras y adornos al gusto personal. Tenía un ojo turco que le combinaba muy bien pero el grosor del hilo era mayor y no pude emplearlo.
Finally, a knot is made when all the pearls, letters and decorations used are placed. The two ends are cut off and burned again. At the end, other decorations are added to the hardware to make it look more striking. In my case I used a small key and a sea shell.
Por último se le realiza un nudo cuando se colocan todas las perlas, letras y adornos empleados. Se recorta las dos puntas y se vuelve a quemar.
Al final se le agregan otros adornos al herraje para que se vea más llamativo. En mi caso utilicé una llavecita y una concha de mar.
