Very cool. I was supposed to build an open source cutter right when this covid stuff happened and the team fell apart.
We did make a 3D printer the weekend the lockdowns started, but that was supposed to be the foundation to build plasma, rotary, laser and such. I would love to find a team to start over with.
Wow~ an open source cutter is the ultimate custom job that I can tinker on all day and night trying to get the perfect settings both in hardware and firmware.
For sure Covid did a create a halt to many hands on work like building/developing equipment.
I would like to know more about what you want to achieve. This could be interesting. :)
I follow their Discord - https://discord.gg/juJmYr6v, but I haven't checked in with the site in a while and it isn't very updated, but that's not to say its a dead project. Most of the work goes to the wiki.
I would love to put together some collabs or something.
hmmmm~~ I will look into this and yea I would love to create a collaboration on Hive. That would be legendary... cause that can really create another whole world of different ideas for the community. I know this platform is relatively new and we all need to contribute to innovate and improve upon the limitless boundary's of Hive eco system. Its really a matter of giving it a try.
Its impressive you have already initiated the project... that really is not easy and I give you props for that.
